I only had 1 if this authors book. Decided to get this n I'm so glad I did. Gorgeous drawings on thick paper. I was tired of every picture having animals. This book will not disappoint. I'll be getting all her books from now on. Recommend add this to your collection you'll be glad you did.

This is one of my favorites in the series so far. It has an element of raw, strange (not in a bad way) and beautiful imagination from the artist on every single page, which makes it stand out from some of the other books. It’s so much more creative than just animals with plants and buildings growing from them (which was getting a bit redundant with each new book in the series) and I love it.

Very much like another brand of coloring book, who I won't mention, done right. Pictures on one side of the page, perforations to easily remove page, no hidden objects that stick out like a sore thumb.

Love all mythographic books. Love the imagination and journey I go on while coloring

Best one yet. Not all overly detailed. Great subjects

I saw a flip through of this coloring book and then a few weeks later was trying to decide which Mythographic book to buy next when I remembered the last page of this book where there are three cherubic baby faces coming out of the center of three flowers and made my purchase.Unfortunately, the artist has two styles of illustration here. One, like the baby faces, that is stunning and a pleasure to color. The line art is creative, well defined and not a confusing jumble of wispy lines that disappear into nothingness. There’s another like this where two birds are emerging out of a jeweled chalice egg that is gorgeous but unfortunately, the majority of the book is in that other style!I think all illustrators should try to color their illustrations to get a feel for what it’s like for us to color in their books. I’ve read where some artists actually do this and I think it’s a good practice to ensure a “home run” every time (not that 80% liking the book is a strike out).This wispy other style is not fun to color. It might be interesting to look at but not color, for me at least.I mean this to be constructive and not at all bashing because this artist is so talented and I would love to see more of her artwork in the more well defined style. Even very popular illustrators like Hanna Karlson had two styles of drawing in the beginning of her career before she found her groove in terms of what colorists wanted and loved.

Love Mythographic books usually but the illustration in this was not to my taste. Everything else is just as expected for Mythographic books.

Livre très détaillé. Beaucoup de petits détails mais les illustrations sont très originales. Ravie de mon achat.

Nicht das erste Buch was ich von der Mythogrphic Reihe habe und diesmal von Alessandra Fusi gezeichnet. Das Buch hat wie alle Bücher ein quadratsiches Format was in der USA gängiger ist als hier. Das Papier ist dick und von guter Qualität wie in den anderen Büchern auch, mit Alkohol Markern wäre ich aber immer vorsichtig und würde immer etwas drunter legen. Das Buch hat eine Perforation damit man die Bilder heraus trennen kann und so auch einfacher auszumalen sind.Es stimmt der erste Perforationsstreifen klebt am Cover fest ist auch bei mir so. Sehe ich allerdings nicht so eng, da man die Seite problemlos heraustrennen kann, wenn man das Bild umbedingt ausmalen wollen würde.Den Zeichenstil finde ich wirklich schön und filigran das mag ich sehr ich bin kein Fan von zu dicken Outelines die gerne mal störend gerade bei feinen Schattierungen wirken können. Ich mag die Motive die Fantasievoll gestaltet sind, aber meines Erachtens nach dem Coloristen schon einiges abverlang um dem Bild eine schöne Atmosphäre zu verleihen. Ist ja auch ein Malbuch für Erwachsene und ich liebe Details, von daher mag die die Bücher sowieso sehr gern.Auch finde ich nicht das in dem Buch irgendwelche Gebäude fehlplatziert oder zu perfekt sind. Die Ruinen unter Wasser sehen auch so aus wie eben Ruinen aussehen und ob jetzt irgendwas abblättert oder nicht wie eine andere Kundin schrieb ist wohl dem Künstler überlassen. Ich denke nicht das man sich in der Kunst Vorwürfe machen lassen muss. Gerade das ist ja das Schöne daran das erlaubt ist was gefällt und jeder nun einmal einen eigenen Geschmack hat. Die meisten Motive enthalten Tiere die sehr realistisch gezeichnet sind und auch Fabelwesen, aber auch ein, zwei Menschen sind darunter mit viel Pflanzen und auch Wasserwelten.Ich denke wer Spaß an Details hat und fantasievollen anspruchsvollen Motiven kann hier gerne zugreifen. Auch wenn ich nicht immer zum colorieren komme, schaue ich mir die Motive zwischendurch gerne mal wieder an und erfreue mich an den schönen Bildern und den Details.
