I don't understand why so many people complain about this product. Yes, it doesn't have instructions but is kind off common sense how to use it. And ofc it will leak if you fill it with gas. Is logical and it works the same as a Zippo but doesn't have loads of cotton inside for a simple reason: the "match" wouldn't fit in. It has a little tiny piece of cotton that is more than enough. U just need to make that lil piece of cotton kinda soggy and that's all. And thenz to light it up, you just need to practice a little. If you try very hard and fast, it wouldn't light it up but it will make lots of sparks that would help anyway to start a fire. But if u don't put lots of pressure and kid off slowly try to light it same as a normal match, it will light up every time on first try.

Good item and value for money even, small size no weight easy to use.

Anyone any luck getting anything described above to work on there’s? Or able to explain how to change the rope with the additional on that came in the box? Came with no instructions. Tried to light like the pictures shown and would light a flame only sparks. So thought maybe it needs to be lit first by another lighter but no the cotton melted only for me to come on here and see on the very last parts about this product that you are required to place gasoline on the cotton yourself before use! Absolutely ridiculous that this important information to get it to work isn’t shown anywhere on the product box or in the advertising that showed clearly 4 seemingly simple steps. There’s 5 steps and the first one is the gasoline needing to be added for it be useable! And now I can see you get an extra piece of rope to replace the one already inside and yet again ZERO INSTRUCTIONS on how to do this. Tried with a tweezers to pull it as it describes and surprise it doesn’t budge and just keeps tearing off and now in 5 minutes of opening it, it has become unusable. I can not figure out how to magically remove the rope to replace it with the new one that magically fits in here apparently but the whole part it’s to be put into is solid metal and won’t come apart! Frustrating experience to say the very least!

Nice design but poorly made. Works okay but very fidgety. Occasionally leaks lighter fuel even when small amount used.

Got the fluid, works, sparks all right, got it with me always, on my keys ring.

Brilliant little match work's every time for me but needed a bit of zippo fluid in it (i really mean a little or it will leak) leave it for bit to soak and boom instant match, i see people have had issues with these as instructions are no good as these will not work with out the lighter fluid and it dont really say. But i worked mine out and love it!!

Bought this for a friend who can never find a lighter while camping works every time .small easy to carry and good value for money

Flint on this wore off in less than a month, not great quality
