Just what I was looking for & works like a charm!

We had a broken chain on our Hunter ceiling fan and didn't want to replace the entire fan - which still worked great otherwise. This was the perfect answer. My husband was able to install it easily and we're back up and running again. His comment was, "I don't know why we didn't do this sooner". :)

Easy to swap, works perfectly!

Old switch was stuck on low speed. Swapped it out for this one. This one is identical to the old one-same color,same part #. Works great. I have 3 speeds again. Cannot comment on durability yet but the original switch that came in the fan lasted 6-7 years? You can tell that a piece this small and light weight with moving parts will not last forever if you use it constantly. I suggest you find your favorite fan speed and leave it that way most of the time. Just use your wall switch to turn it off and on.UPDATE: I replaced my switch on 1 fan and it worked perfectly so I bought a second switch to replace a broken one on an identical fan in the same bonus room. When I replaced the switch on the second fan it does have 3 separate speeds but they are all slower than they were when the original switch worked. I took it out and re-installed it to make sure I had good contact on all the wires and got the same result. Not sure why this would be but thought I'd mention it.

I ordered the switch and kept my old one and played with it for a while to figure out how exactly it worked. When the new one came in I had no problem on the install, it was really easy and the switch was identical to my old one. I am sure glad this switch is available. Thank you.Don

Have an old shop fan that needed to be restored. Had to replace many parts including the switch. This switch so far has worked perfectly but with summer upon us will see just how well this switch holds up. If I don't forget will update in November when fan is no longer needed.

Went to pull my outdoor Hampton Bay fan chain and it broke off inside. Found this part to replace my KTE NO. 2035080 E87438 switch and it worked like a charm. Took me 10 minutes to replace.

I used this switch to replace a switch that was supposed to replace a broken switch in a Hunter ceiling fan. I only had 2 of 3 fan speeds with the first replacement switch. With further research, I determined that the Zing Ear ZE-268S6 switch had the correct internal triple-throw connections that enabled me to achieve all 3 fan speeds. With this switch and the replacement CBB61 capacitor, I now have a fully functional Hunter ceiling fan that I use as a standby fan in case I have to rebuild another one in the future. Note that my Hunter fans are very reliable and unobtrusive (5 operating in my house + the spare). None of these component discoveries were made with the help of Hunter.
