Best no-mod upgrade for your GameCube system
My cables came packaged neatly in a translucent reflective bag. The quality of the material is very solidly built and fits in the GCN port very snugly and secure and keep in mind also, you will need a gen 1 GameCube that has the digital AV out port. The picture on games that support 480p:(progressive scan) you will notice that visual difference on your modern tv display. The two biggest being draw-distance clarity and visual sharpness of letters and characters blurriness is completely removed compared to using the stock cables. on the ones that do not support 480p but regular 480i (interlaced), the image quality is still improved mostly letters and menus seem more legible to read; however, the game's will seem unpolished compared to the latter. This isn't the cables fault but the game(s) on GCN that do not support the progressive scan resolution. The audio on my set of cables seems to be working as intended for me; however, be aware others have had problems such as incorrect audio timing where the sound seems to be offset to what you see happening on the screen or incorrectly color swapped plugs where ones supposed to be the other plug. luckily i have not come across these issues with my set of cables, but will repost if i do. and could just be me but i also felt that input latency was improved a lot over stock cables If you were to use these in combination some sort of upscaler its another leap in quality entirely, but on their own they still really good. highly recommend.

Rip the $60 bandaid off, Get the 9/10 cord
I was skeptical about a $60 for a cord from the last millennium and all, but this thing delivers. No issue at all with my modded ngc. Beautiful crystal clear output. For my exact setup, this cord is GG. (sony xbr-910) My only gripe is that the cord goes from robust, flexible 6mm rubber to flimsy 1.5mm wire for the last 100mm to the leads. Doesn't matter at all, just a nitpick. 9/10 great.

Great paired with the retrotink 4k
At first I was on the fence about ordering these component cables for the price but I ended up deciding to go with it. I’m currently using a Retrotink 4k going into an OLED tv. What a difference these component cables made over the composite cables. The picture looks great, the colors look amazing, I might even argue that this looks better than using a CRT. If you have a decent setup with an upscaler I would say go ahead and order these cables. If you have a CRT tv in good working order you may not benefit a whole lot from switching to an hdtv without a good upscaler

Good image quality but flakey connection
I tried this with two separate TVs ... no video at all (only audio). This is honestly sad. If you have a Wii with GC backwards compatibility, you'll probably have a better time going that route. If you're trying to use the GameBoy Player ... well, there's HDMI adapters, and S-VIDEO is honestly not too bad. Update: after borrowing a friends GC, and trying the cables on their console, they suddenly worked normally. I moved them back over to my DOL-001, and all is good now. Not sure why it is so flakey, but that said, the image quality is a nice step up over composite. If you have a TV with component, this is probably the most straight forward approach to get 480p out of a GameCube.

A Great Component Cable for the GameCube!
Finally, a YPBPR component cable for the GameCube that’s easily available and for an affordable price too! This may be a third party product, but it works really well with my GameCube and HDTV with component inputs. The connection is solid, it doesn’t feel cheap, the games look and sound really good (and look so much better than if it was connected via AV composite cables/inputs). If you have a TV that has YPBPR component inputs and want better picture quality and sound with your GameCube games, I highly recommend this component cable.

Image looked great.
Worked fine an image looked great. Remember to hold B on controller1 when booting your Gamecube so it knows to load into progressive scan mode. I was not able to get an image in default interlaced mode with this cable, though my sample size of monitors was 1. Your mileage may vary.

Better Than I Thought
These third party component cables work better than I thought. They provide an even better video signal than composite, especially on a CRT that supports component video.

Terrible Video Quality – Unusable Cable
purchased this cable for my GameCube, but unfortunately, I was very disappointed. The screen constantly doubles, the image jitters, and everything appears in a distorted pink color. It’s completely unusable for gameplay. I expected better quality.
