great for bqq
I would say this is the best I have ever used. I am never 70 yrs old. most make me burp it up all night but this one didn't. The taste is great. There are times when it's raining outside and you can't bqq, and you don't want to go out in the rain to a restaurant. You just want bqq. This will work, I tried this one a week days ago because they didn't have the one I usually get and I hadn't tried this one. But I think this one will become my first choice from now on.

You can put it in but you can't take it out!
This is a powerful smoke flavoring. According to the information on the bottle, it's real smoke flavoring, what I suppose means it doesn't have artificial flavoring added to it. Please keep this one thing in mind.It doesn't have a flow limiting plug like almost all products that are This powerful and capable of ruining what your cooking. That's where I'm going with this. I was going to tweek my wife's beef stew and when I tipped the bottle up, way too much of the liquid smoke went into the pot. I tried to scoop out the excess but it still tasted too smokey. I would rather have to shake the bottle a few times as to have too much product in the pot by accident. I'm not sure how much a little plastic limiter would cost,but it can't be as much as the pot of beef stew that I gave to our chickens. They seemed to really enjoy it.

Fake it while you make it!
For those of you who don't have the hours needed to smoke stuff, or a smoker for that matter! I recently made baby back ribs in the instapot and they came out incredible and falling off the bone. Quick recipe was 4 cups of apple juice and 1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar in the instapot, and for the smoke flavor it was 1.5 teaspoons of this stuff in the pot (Takeoff silver skin 1st......). I coated my ribs with a rub and put them in on their side for 25 minutes, do a slow release and then try to get them out without them falling apart! Then lay on parchment paper on a cookie tray with barbecue sauce for 5 minutes at 475 broil to caramelize.

Taste great
Liked the taste, but you need to use a lot and it comes in a small bottle. Is easy to make a mess. There is only the cap and when you pour it, it drips everywhere.

Must purchase for my kalua pork
It subtle but it’s perfect for my kalua pork! I’ve been craving this since we came back from Hawaii and to my delight, I have found a pretty similar tasting recipe for it and I don’t have to dig a pit and cook the pig for hours! Lol not like I have a place or time to do that anyway. If you guys are interested, here’s the recipe: Pork butt or shoulder Liquid smoke Red salt (from Hawaii) Water Shredded cabbage Place everything except the cabbage in the slow cooker and cook on high for 8 hours or in instant pot for 90 mins. Turn it off and mix in the cabbage. It’s that simple! Yummm!
