Bought these to make a gift for my grandma after her dachshund passed away. She made me a sock monkey when I was born, and at 36 years old, it is still one of my most cherished possessions.The socks are high quality. I went with the medium size because the price point was lower for two pairs in case I messed up. One pair still made a nice sized animal at 12 inches from nose to tail AND I have an extra to make another gift for someone else. Not bad considering it would be $40-50 to buy a custom sock animal off Etsy.

A friend gave me a sock wine carrier with button eyes and a smiling proboscis. I thought, "What a great way to gift someone with wine. I've made sock monkeys, but this project (wine carrier) required only the addition of 2 button eyes. It took a few minutes to 'make.' Then I inserted a bottle of wine (into the toe), cuffed the top of the sock around the neck of the bottle, pooched out the heel for the 'nose and lips,' and tied a frilly bow around the neck of the bottle. It was sock monkey meets Lucille Ball, and the effect was humorously charming. This order of socks gives you 4. With the addition of some black button eyes, cost per bottle cover is around $5, Add a bottle of wine and you have a handy hostess gift.These socks, by the way, are great to wear and make great sock animals if you choose to do so. Google sock monkey, or sock elephant and the like for patterns and directions. Sock animals require a lot more time and attention to detail than do sock wine cozies, but people young and old seem to enjoy the results.

Socks that aren't too small or tight can be hard to find. A size 11.5 shoe shouldn't need an XL sock, but that's the only choice when manufacturers insist that size 9-12 with an elastic band around the arch is a good fit. (It's not.) Thankfully, these socks conform without restricting blood flow.

These are just as expected. It is our family tradition for each grandchild (and now great grandchild) to receive an handmade sock monkey for their first birthday. The socks are consistent in quality perfect to continue this tradition.

Der "Red Heel" wird meines Wissens nach nur als Doppelpack verkauft - und so auch hier, obwohl es nicht angegeben ist! Man erhält also 2 Paar! Die Sockengröße "L" entspricht lt. Packungsaufschrift 43 - 46 in der EU, und das kann ich auch so bestätigen. Die angegebene Zusammensetzung stimmt auch mit der auf dem Etikett überein, nur statt 3% Acryl sind es 2 % Acryl und 1% Spandex.Made in the USA, schön leicht, trotz hohem Wollanteil nicht kratzig und einfach mal eine andere Socke. Über die Haltbarkeit werde ich bei Gelegenheit nachberichten. Was daran allerdings "Funktionssocke" sein soll, entzieht sich meiner Kenntnis..
