It's a mallet! Yes, folks, it's a beater on a stick. Nice & durable. The grip feels nice. Goes through the dishwasher just fine. It's pretty big, and it's definitely got some heft to it--perfect for recalcitrant chickens. The texture on the tenderizer side is not too spiky, not too dull. The smooth side is great for beating crackers into crumbs.

Product didn't have a smoothe end, both ends were with spikes

Both sides are way too spikey/sharp and there is no smooth side.
