One more thing...
When I received this item, I took it apart to see why some people had trouble inserting or removing the rivets. It has an internal plunger with spring loaded gripping teeth at the front. The plunger pulls back when the drill is in Forward and moves forward when the drill is run in Reverse. There are 4 mandrels that can be screwed in the nose of the gun, to match the diameter of the rivet you're using. Each mandrel has a part that protrudes back toward the gripping teeth. When the plunger is pushed all the way out (Reverse), the gripping teeth hit this protruberance, which spreads them open, and allows easy removal of the rivet (just drops out), and putting in a new one. Note that larger diameter mandrels have a longer protruberance to spread the jaws further apart. The problem is, if the plunger is still all the way out and you change the mandrel you will hit resistance when screwing it in, because it will hit the gripping teeth and stop. You need to crank in tight with the wrench, or better yet, first run your drill Forward to move the plunger back and let the mandrel go on easily. If the jaws don't get spread, you can't easily insert or remove the rivet. This tool seems to be well built. I don't see this breaking with just occasional use.Just FYI.

Rivet gun
Love it...a little pain in the ass but a lot better than a hand gun...you load, pop rivet, then have to back the shank out, then use pliers to pull the shank out...still a lot easier especially for this old geezer..😆 🤣 😂

Keeps Getting Jammed
I envisioned being able to easily and quickly insert rivets using one hand. However, you do have to use both hands--one to operate the drill and the other to control the rivet tool. And, there was nothing easy or quick about it.The way the tool works is, a single rivet is placed in the tool’s chuck. The drill spins the tool’ chuck clockwise to draw the rivet tight until it shears the shank off. The sheared off piece should be able to fall out by reversing the direction of the drill, causing the tool’s chuck to open. Then, a new rivet can be inserted and the process repeated. In theory, anyway. This was not my experience. I had issues with the rivet gun getting jammed. Even after a full reversal with the drill, or the use of pliers, I was unable to remove the broken piece. I had to resort to fully dismantling the tool to get the broken piece out each time.I do not recommend this tool. Maybe it's me, or maybe i just have a defective item.

Not the greatest 🤦
I bought this thinking it would be helpful with rivets and not having to really struggle with a regular rivet gun squeezing the handles being older with not a whole lot of hand strength. Out of a dozen rivets installed, I maybe got 2 installed correctly using this tool. Most rivets would not snap off at completion, the ones that did, jammed in the jaws of the tool and required disassembly to clear the rivet stud. As recommended by the instructions, I used the slowest setting on my drill, and used the trigger in short, easy, gentle spurts. Trying to go fast or in one steady motion would just not allow the rivet to crush properly and destroy a perfectly good rivet. I wonder if a more expensive unit would be better such as the $100 one. I bought this one specifically because it was under $20 and I don't use rivets on a daily basis and the reviews for this specific one was that it was ok. I figured it would be good for an occasional use type of situation. I may try different types of rivets like soft aluminum ones and see how it goes. But it struggles with stainless steel rivets. I was using large flanged stainless steel rivets to install a new motor on my electric awnings.

Better than expected
I wasn't expecting this to last but it's mostly metal construction aside from the handle, it appears to be holding up well through the hundred or so rivets that i've installed.

Outil inutilisable
L'outil n'évacue pas la chute du rivet. Il faut tout démonter à chaque fois. Cet outil est inutilisable!
