I invariably go straight to the reviews when I'm looking to buy something, so I was a little wary when looking at these, but they looked to be what I was after, and there was always the option to return them if the poor reviews held up. As it turned out, they're really good! I bought the twin pack to go in the new garage-style extension I've built on the side of the house. I've roofed it with translucent glass fibre 'roof light' sheets that transmit 90% of available light, and I've mounted these on the beams inside, about 2" from the roof, one in the middle, and over the exit door. The room is roughly 5m square, and these two lights give a decent spread of not too bright light, that the PIR triggers as soon as you walk in. I have them on the illuminate on full power for 30 seconds when movement is detected setting, which stays illuminated as long as there someone in there, then they switch off 30 seconds after you leave. I have very similar lights outside, in all weathers, that are slightly brighter, 3 out of 4 of which are holding up well, so I anticipate no issues with these, being 'indoors' as they are. I'm perfectly happy with these, and I'll definitely be buying sime more...😎👍🏻

Bought these when they were £8 each. The light is bright enough to illuminate a medium to large garden, the sensor triggers from some distance but can be hit and miss. I left mine out in torrential rain which did get inside. Once water gets inside the switching seems to glitch and the light wont stay on in constant mode.I also wish companies like this gave us a constant full power mode for nights when you have friends around and need to illuminate the BBQ area for a night, or sit around a winter bonfire.The panel itself is great and seems to do the job of charging the unit in a few hours of good sunshine.

This light was good when first put up. It was in direct sunlight for most of the day. After a couple of weeks it refused to go into bright mode, either as a result of movement being detected or the control settings. Fortunately it failed before the last return date, and Amazon have already refunded me.

-returned 4: 2 with dents in the solar panel, 1 broken (could see the battery inside) and with marks of mud, 1 died in the first 3 weeks...-kept 4 (only 3 somewhat working, one died but it is too late to return it)-remote control and the adjusting mechanism are very nice features....other than that it doesn't feel like a well put together product.-in the current state I would not recommend this product.

Fitted this above a steel gate for extra light as you walk in. Attached a block of wood to the gate frame first,so the bracket could be screwed to the block. Works fine so far after a week of use. Sensitivity is fine and I I have adjusted the angle of th bracket towards the sun for max sun exposure between 9am and 3pm UK times. Brightness of light is excellent for this corridor. Will update if any changes to reliability or functionality .
