This is exactly what I wanted. Im actually going to buy another as a gift its so wonderful. The tie binding is perfect and easy For adding more pages or loosening as the pages become full and the book gets thick. The main reason I bought this book is to begin a journal of my herbalism . Which does include pressed leaves from my garden as well as their uses and tea recipes. I actually love that its not stiff, the leather is soft, and the pages are a thin texture thats also strong.

This journal is SO beautiful. It's a nice size, a bit larger than I was expecting for some reason, but I like it a lot. The outside is an extremely beautiful leather, the clasping is unique, and the parchment inside is decent quality. My only major critique is that there is a lining around some page edges (it's only on the front side of every page, and the back is completely blank). I'd prefer if it was consistent, either with or without the border.

Very pleasantly surprised with this sketchbook! Supple leather cover that is as pleasing to touch as it is to look at. The craft paper pages are thin-ish, but very sturdy. I have only used charcoal and standard pencil on the pages so far, so I don't know how they will stand up to ink or markers. Handles erasing very well. The pre-printed border lines on each page are also a nice touch, and help to keep you from drawing off the edge. Great little book!

Smells excellent. Yes, the smell was part of the draw for me to buy it.But, it was a perfect fit.Nice pad for keeping a certain type of notes.

good quality leather journal. only thing wrong was some of the pages didn't line up perfectly. it wasn't very noticeable though
