Purchased more for rain protection than sun and it doesn't do that.
So I bought this to fill in a corner of my back deck that raps around my sun room. All for the purpose of giving my 2 german shepherds somewhere to lay out of the sun and rain. Welllllll u get half of that. It blocks the sun very well not sure of the percentage but it's not 100%. The downfall is it does NOT block rain. I love the rain and was hopeful that I could go out there when it was raining and sit under it and enjoy the rain. So if u do your will enjoy it being wet and its not coming around it its going through. So it doesn't block rain. Maybe my expectations were just not realistic so it could be on me which is why I still gave it 4 stars. It's pretty good quality woven and nice thickness. I'll be curious to see how long the color holds up but so far which it's day 1 I'm pretty pleased considering what I paid for this thing and I have my anchors and all set correctly now so worst case u just replace the sun sail. Happy for now just disappointed it doesn't block the rain. Hope this helps anyone considering.

Should help for my back deck!!!
Up-date 1/4-2017 !Well had the WindScreen up all Summer into late Fall (Nov 16) we had a late Fall to start here in the South, like in the 80's almost the whole month, set records for the late 75 years!!! so I kept it up longer. I have to say it preformed wonderful, even thru High Winds like gust to almost 70mph, yeah! the pouring rain would sag the trap down but once it stopped and wind dry it would go back into shape. I had also added about 7-8 brass grommets to the side under the eve of the house over the door to help keep it up off the door and not the first one ripped loose from the trap. the other two outside corners where attached to 2 -4"X4" 14 foot dug into the ground 3 feet and it held fine for me. I had also for my own sake ran a rope from the house out to the west 4"X4" and use RV Awning Clamps and the west end of trap to help with the West and Southwest winds in which I'm glad I did when we had the high winds here from more than one storm the last season. The Color of the Trap did not fade that I could tell because I had bought 2 of these traps to being with but only used the one and when folding the used one up to put it away for the winter I compared them together and there still the same color!!! So that's a plus. All in all this Windscreen held up VERY WELL!!! no Stitching came apart anyway on it all season. I installed this before May and up till the end November, what more could you want for this price! hope this help who ever reads this and what I wrote is the truth no bull and I see using it again next year, why not why get the other out if I can use this till it falls apart. That was a well $50. bucks spent by me. Oh I had this installed on the back "South" side of our home that got all day sun from 9am till 5:30pm so lots of hard sun all day. We could set under it during high noon and it didn't affect us as long as there was a breeze if not I had a fan for air. I think it's 90-95 percent UV Rays protection? or some where around that and you'll see if your in the hot beating down Sun this Windscreen is worth every penny you pay for it. Good Evening !Well received the items very fast and packaged well. I haven installed them as of yet but they look like that are well made, the seems and eyelets look good. I was looking for just this type that it square with-out the straps on the corner for my insulation which these will work as planned. I will up-date after I get them up and with photos so everyone can see. Got to say very good price for the size I ordered and a 5 Year warranty is part of the reason I went with this brand, most only have a 1 year warranty, big different for sure, isn't many companies that do that any longer. As said as soon as up I will up-date.

Great Shade!
I bought two of these sails to install over the pool. We don’t have any shade trees and it gets very hot in the afternoon. This photo was taken at 3pm when it really starts to beat down. You can see the shade vs unshaded areas. We love these sails! Not only do they shade the pool but also the patio and house late in the afternoon. We can feel a difference inside the house. Installation was easy. We installed one side directly to the patio (10’ up). The other side we attached to eye bolts on PVC pipes attached to the fence. This allows us to take down the sails easily when needed.

Provides sun protection and a pleasing contemporary look.
The media could not be loaded. I bought this shade in July of 2017. We have removed and reinstalled it now for 5 years. I live in San Jose ,California where we have sun year round. We usually install late April or early May and take it down in October or December. This shade still looks brand new in 2022. Ours provides sun protection for our car and front porch as well as the slightly reducing the temperature inside the front part of my home. I do not have AC so even a few degrees reduction is helpful. These shades look better if pulled taught at all corners. We used turnbuckles and S hooks and a little chain as well. We permanently installed eye hooks on the house. The reason I gave three stars for ease of installation is that all work is done while on a ladder or the garage roof. It also requires brute strength to pull the shade taught. When we can no longer install ours, I will pay someone to do so. This shade has been a good investment and I have had many compliments from neighbors as well. My shade is 16 feet by 20 feet.
