Fixed the weak magnetic attraction through my phone case
I bought a phone case that claimed to be compatible with magnetic charging, which was a joke because while it could still charge through he case, the magnetic bond was so weak that my phone didn't stay put on the charger. This ring completely fixed that problem and also allows me to put a magsafe cardholder on the back without fear of it getting knocked off. I like that this product is actually magnetic and not just a metal ring, which allows for a much stronger grip. Great adhesion despite the slightly textured case that I have. The beveled edges are also nice so you don't scratch stuff with it. I will say that the alignment guide is not super straightforward when you have a case on the phone obscuring your phone's actual dimensions, but I was able to use the weak magnetic attraction to help me align the ring and alignment card while the ring still had the plastic backing on it, and I taped the card down in the right spot for the actual placement. The lines on the card at least helped to ensure everything is centered.

Works well, but obviously it will also cover some of your phone case design (duh)
We put this on my son's iPhone 11, so it could hold on to the battery charger using magnets instead of cords. It worked for that purpose, and held the battery well even in his pocket while hiking. Only issue was that his phone heated up while charging, but I suspect it's more the fault of his case than the small distance this magnet pops up from his Pokemon case. His main complaint was that the magnetic circle was thick, and covered some of his case design. But we couldn't find an appealing phone case design that had an embedded magnetic circle, so this let us adapt his current one for right now. We accidentally misaligned the first circle when we were sticking it onto his case, so we peeled it off and used the second one from the package. It peeled off okay, left no residue, but was destroyed so we couldn't use it ever again. Bit of a bummer, but user error.

Its a real magnetic ring - not a thin ring of steel !
I have an iPhone case that I wanted to stick to my magnetic MagSafe charger and my magnetic car mount. I first tried those cheap, thin metal rings - but when I coupled the phone to my accessories the result was a sloppy alignment and weak attraction. Then I tried the OUTXE Magnetic Adapter ring and "this ring rocks"! Now everything aligns and holds just as if I was using the phone without a case. Its simple science really - Sure, magnets are attracted to steel - but they are "super attracted" to other magnets when their polarities are lined up properly. When they attract this way they practically "snap" together with perfect alignment. I can now spin my phone around on the accssory and it seems like the phone and the accessory share a fixed pivot point. If you like the feel of quality and precision - this product will not disappoint. It also looks really nice with its beveled shape, no sharp corners and attractive factory finish. The thin, metal rings only gave me a sloppy and approximate positioning. Now I have perfection !

Adhesive not good enough
Not a strong stick to the phone's surface. Will come off in few days.

Does not work with all cases
If ensuring your phone's complete protection is a priority, as it is for me, you might opt for Otterbox's Defender Series Case. Unfortunately, the Defender Series lacks MagSafe compatibility. The reason is clear: the case provides such robust protection that it hinders the function of a magnetic adapter ring. I tested a ring on the case's outer shell and a ring between the layers of protection without success. It only worked when placed directly on the phone's hard inner shell and connected to a MagSafe charger. However, once the outer shell was applied, the connection failed. While the product (OUTXE Magnetic Adapter Ring) is effective and aesthetically pleasing, it's incompatible with my case. I'm reluctant to switch cases since all my previous iPhones, from the 5 onwards, have remained pristine thanks to Otterbox's Defender Series. Ensuring complete protection for your phone, as I prioritize, might lead you to choose Otterbox's Defender Series Case. Regrettably, this series does not support MagSafe due to its robust protection, which interferes with the magnetic adapter ring's function. My tests with a ring on the case's exterior and between its protective layers were unsuccessful. It functioned only when attached directly to the phone's inner shell and linked to a MagSafe charger, but failed once the outer shell was in place. The OUTXE Magnetic Adapter Ring, while effective and visually appealing, proved incompatible with my case. My reluctance to switch is due to the pristine condition of all my previous iPhones from the 5 onwards, preserved by the Otterbox Defender Series.

SUCCESS! Installed inside OtterBox Commuter Series Case for iPhone 13 Pro AND iPhone 11 Pro
I am successfully using these rings with iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro inside the following OtterBox Commuter Series cases WITHOUT permanently attaching the ring to the back of the phone. OtterBox Commuter Series Case for iPhone 13 Pro https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C4BDHWKJ OtterBox Commuter Series Case for iPhone 11 Pro https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09G47PPJB I had to figure out best position for the ring on the back of each iPhone, THEN I used scissors to cut out a circle from the inner rubber layer of the Commuter case. The ring is NOT visible on either phone, but they both "snap" into place on a genuine Apple MagSafe charging puck. Prior to installing this ring, I had to hover each iPhone over the puck and find the charging location which was very annoying. Finding the ideal ring position was MUCH easier on the iPhone 13 Pro than the iPhone 11 Pro, because I could simply set this ring on the back of the iPhone 13 Pro and this ring would "snap" into place. For both phones, I figured out these installation steps worked well. I attached photos that will hopefully make these instructions more clear. 1. Remove both layers (hard shell and rubber layer) of the OtterBox Commuter case from the phone 2. Stick a standard post-it note on the back of the phone. 3. Place the genuine Apple MagSafe puck in the desired location on the back of each phone. 4. Use a pencil to draw a circle around the puck on the sticky note. 5. Remove the Apple MagSafe puck from the phone. DO NOT remove the sticky note. 6. Install the rubber layer of the OtterBox commuter case onto the phone. 7. Use a pencil to trace a line inside the existing circle cut-out of the rubber layer. Draw UP and DOWN arrows inside the circle that point toward the top and bottom of the phone. 8. Remove the rubber layer from the phone. 9. Remove the sticky note from the phone and cut out the large circle that you drew around the Apple MagSafe charging puck. This circle will serve as a template for drawing your cut on the rubber layer. 10. Place your cut out paper circle template on the rubber layer. Align your paper circle template with the small hole on the rubber layer. You may need to hold the rubber layer and template near a bright light when aligning these two circles. Make sure your UP and DOWN arrows are pointed to the top and bottom edges of the rubber layer. 11. Use a permanent marker to draw a circle around the outside edge of your paper circle template. 12. Use scissors to cut out the circle from the rubber layer. 13. Place this magnetic adapter ring on the back of your phone. 14. Temporarily install the rubber layer on the back of the phone. 15. Make sure the rubber layer of your OtterBox case does NOT overlap the magnetic adapter ring. Use scissors to make adjustment cuts in the rubber layer if your hole is not quite round enough or large enough. 16. Use your permanent marker to mark where you need to cut out the bottom "key" magnet that is below the circle. This took a little guess work. I removed the rubber layer, cut a little bit at a time, and reinstalled the rubber layer to check my work. Repeat until enough rubber layer had been removed. 17. When you are satisfied with your cuts, place a few small pieces of clear scotch tape on the bottom edge of the clear backing of the magnetic ring, then set the magnetic ring on your phone. Do not press the tape down yet. 18. Install the rubber layer on the back of your phone and ensure the magnetic ring is in place. Press down on the tape through the rubber ring to stick the tape to the phone. 19. Install the OtterBox hard shell over the rubber ring. 20. Test your MagSafe charger. It should "snap" into place. Enjoy! :)
