Little Night/Nochecita

An absolute joy to read! We originally received a copy of this book from the Conscious Kids lending library program and both my 3 year old and I fell in love with it. I have since purchased 3 copies - one for our family, and two for friends. The story is dreamy, playful, and loving and the art is magical. I also love that it's in both English and Spanish, beautifully written in each language. I have never come across a book quite like this one, and never get tired of reading it at my little one's request!

I highly recommend this book for kids age 2-5 or so. The images are beautiful and the story of hide and seek is so relatable. Plus, the protagonist is female!!!! (Which is rare IV children's books) and the characters are people of color (also rare). Yuyi Morales is a gift to children's literature. Her work is unparalleled. Thank you Yuyi for your contributions. You are touching so many children's lives.

I like that its bilingual but the story line is just okay and too wordy for my toddler. The illustrations are dark but I guess that is to go with the theme. Probably wont read this much.

Cute story about a little girl and her mom. My daughter loves when I read it to her as she can relate to some of the things the little girl does with her mama.

I bought this for my niece. I know she is going to love this book just as much as I do. The artwork is unreal. Morales is one of the best.
