So much fun, for ages 8 or 9 to 90+!! Biology knowledge NOT required!
This is probably my family's favorite card or board game of all time. It is so much fun, it's easy to learn, and it gets super competitive very quickly, making you want to play again and again and again!! We have introduced it to our 10 year old, older family members, diverse sibling and cousin groups, and friends, and they all want to play again ASAP! Each player in my family has fine tuned strategy at this point, but the game is versatile enough that a low pressure approach also works for those looking for a relaxed game.Learning the game can seem daunting... until you just go for it and start playing, that is. "Organ" cards are dealt evenly among 2, 3, 4, or 6 players, and each player gets a five card "attack" card hand; the player who receives the "wild organ (black organ card)" goes first. The cards in your "attack hand" tell you exactly what they're capable of doing, so once you learn how many attacks get your organs out and that 🔥 cards can be played at any time, you are ready to jump right in and learn the rest as you go.It helps to let a new player look through the deck and discuss cards/ask questions before gameplay begins. We also keep a new player's first game pretty low key, allowing them to ask questions as needed without pouncing on them quite so mercilessly as the competitive nature of the game drives you to do. Once you've got it figured out, you can grab the expansion pack! It is designed for team play, (and it's tons of fun utilized as such,) but as a family of three we have pulled several of its cards into our main deck because they add new facets to the game.I paid full price for this game and the expansion pack, lest you think this review is in any way influenced by anything other than my love of it! Do yourself a favor and pick it up!!

Great fun
We were introduced to this card game by a family member and were pleased to discover how much fun it is to play. The writing and artwork on the cards are clever and comical as well.

Super fun and easy to play card game for the whole family
Ever play Uno or, heck, even Mario Kart where it takes skill AND especially luck to win? Those games are super fun because they create a balance so that even not a great player can win and it tames those with a lot more experience. That’s exactly how Organ Attack is like to play. Got destroyed by my youngest when I had an excellent hand and was going to take out my wife and daughter. You see, there are cards that you can use to swap hands and the little one loves to create chaos.Great game for any age that can read competently. It’s on the upper edge of easy to play, not quite moderately complex. It has just enough rules so that keeps it interesting and is fairly easy learn as you go. The cards tell you what they can do (wilds, etc). Some cards work on multiple types of organs and some only on one. There are immunity cards to block infections, etc.Overall, it’s the best new game we’ve played in a while. Don’t hesitate to buy it, well worth it.

Fun game for adults…not 8 as suggested
I originally purchased this as a Xmas gift for my daughter who is a pretty advanced 8 year old but my husband and I and our adult friends decided to demo it beforehand. It’s rather complicated! It was fun and amusing how the ailments can attack and kill the organs but I think rather difficult for anyone under a teen to really grasp.

Fun game, secretly taught students
I got this game for my science classes and they at first were skeptical then cutthroat (in a good way) knocking out other's organs. I do have to close the door to reduce concerned onlookers from hearing, "Ha necrosis of your liver!" Or "I'm coming for your trachea." They do ask to play it and as a pleasant side effect have learned about organs and various conditions. If you have larger groups they can probably team up because you evenly divide the organs among the number of players. I've done up to 8 players (3 organs each) which will start slow then once people get knocked out it speeds up. Highly recommended and it is fun. Could be a good gift for medical field friends too.
