No, they can't be washed. They are paper.

I haven’t had to take them off yet. But you can use olive oil or something like that to take labels off.

Q: Does the seller have these jelly jars in a 4 ounce size?

They may have the 4 oz.size but they won't be tall looking. They will be short and fat looking. That's not what I wanted. I hope this helped.

Q: Are jar lids compatible with other brands?

My experience was that some of the lids worked, others didn't. I exclusively use Ball lids now, and don't run into the frustration of having to re-bath jars over and over again. Good luck!
