Insta360 One X2 Compatible
Purchased this to use with my new Insta360 One X2 camera. Being the camera goes on a motorcycle, it gets constant windblast that makes the audio of the camera itself pretty useless. Enter the Razer Seiren BT mic. Fairly quick and straightforward pairing as 'AirPods' to the camera, make sure you use the 360 audio setting and not the wind reduction setting or that breaks things when you attempt to record.I'll be wrapping this in foam and tucking it away somewhere while I ride around, and it should capture all the ambient roar of the engine really nicely. It's lavalier compatible so if I feel like running it to a tiny one in my helmet, or heck, I could connect the output of my Cardo helmet unit, it would work for all that, and be audibly pleasant instead of just wind noise. Looking forward to making new videos next.

WORST MONEY EVER SPENT
Never have I cared enough to make a review on something but this is the worst purchase I think I have ever made in my 22 years of breathing. It works just meh indoors with 0 sounds but you can’t hear a thing outside it’s muffled. Tried all the different settings. Using it on my insta 360 and you can’t even pick up car audio from inside the car without hearing static and muffled. Terrible product PLEASE DONT BUY IT.

The perfect wireless lapel mic
This mic is great. Very sturdy build and construction. You can pair to multiple devices and control pairing via the phone app. So say I am paired to my iPhone and need to switch to Teams on my laptop, I go in the app and tap Quick Connect and select my laptop. Boom, the device switches over and I am ready for my Teams call. The only thing I disliked was lack of a case. I am using two other accessories I purchased on Amazon with this mic, the "Yeebline Type C Charger Dock" for a charging stand and a "CESS-071 Right Angle to Straight 3.5mm Short Aux Stereo Audio Cable, 3-inch" for connecting to headphones. Rather than use the lapel clip I just let it hang from my headphones and it picks up audio great. You can also use it to listen to music/audio from your phone, Mac, or PC which is very nice.

Bluetooth disconnects quickly and doesn't reconnect automatically as promised
This microphone didn't work for me as I'm not continuously recording in one single burst. I record in multiple bursts throughout a session with long, multiple minute pauses in between. Unfortunately this mic disconnects within minutes from my iPhone 13 pro max and while the description states it'll auto reconnect, it never did for me. So if you let it sit for several minutes (my tests indicated 3-5 minutes), it'll disconnect from the iPhone and you have to manually reconnect it by pushing the button on the mic and making sure your bluetooth connection is up and running. As I'm using this to capture audio during sports activities, this won't work and is beyond inconvenient. I had one of those generic mics you see with a dedicated transceiver/receiver (mic and plug in to lightening port hardware) but this too eventually disconnected but took far, far longer to do so and was much easier to re-engage. It's problem was how flimsy it was. After 3-4 uses the lightening connector on the transceiver seemed to bend/break and no longer functioned. So back to wired mic setup for me.

Small and lightweight! Mic is decent and it's decent as a receiver too
The media could not be loaded. Tl;dr - This is a very solid bluetooth mic and receiver. (Solid in terms of build and performance). It's not bad as a bluetooth microphone and it's also not bad as a bluetooth receiver as well. I also wouldn't say it sounds amazing or anything either though.-I've been testing it out over the past few weeks and it's worked decently well with my laptop and android phone.I've included a video where I walk across a field in front of my house to test the range on this mic. I'm not really sure why you'd need to be this far away from a camera, laptop or phone, but it's nice to know you can walk far away from your audio source or camera if you need to!---Build & Form Factor:This mic/receiver is smaller than a lighter. It's pretty impressive the battery life and performance this has while still being as small as it is. I recorded the range test video and also listened to music with this for at least an hour and it still shows it currently has 90% battery remaining.I honestly can't tell if the enclosure and clip are made out of aluminum or plastic? It feels very well built though regardless of the material.---Mic Quality:The audio from the mic in my opinion is definitely decent. It's not incredible or anything and it doesn't sound nearly as good as most USB mics in my opinion, but for a small bluetooth mic, it's not bad.It does record in stereo and records "omnidirectional" just as it says.It also has built in "ai noise cancelling" which seems to work decently well from my use, but it's not perfect. There were a few times (not included in the video) where I was recording something and a noise would happen in the background and it'd block out everything for a split second.---Bluetooth Receiver Quality:When listening to this on some inexpensive ear buds, it doesn't sound bad at all. When I actually switched and used some in ear monitor's though, you could definitely tell the sound quality was reduced. The noise floor is definitely audible when listening with some decent quality/budget monitors. It isn't super loud, but it's loud enough that it's difficult to ignore. The depth and body of the sound also seems to be reduced when you use this as a bluetooth receiver compared to when your headphones are connected directly to the source.Overall though, if you're not super picky about your audio it would definitely be good enough to use this to walk around the house and do chores while listening to music... etc.---The slightly reduced mic quality and audio sound quality are why I decided to rate this 4 out of 5. Most other aspects of this mic are great though so if you can get it at a slightly reduced price, I'd absolutely recommend giving this a try.

Differs from other SmartMics
What I like about the Razer Seiren BT when compared to the SabineTek SmartMike+ and other SmartMic variants of the same form factor is when you plug in a line-level audio signal into the audio jack on the top, it cuts out the signal from its own integrated ambient mic so that only the line-level audio gets transmitted. Other SmartMics combine the line-level signal with the ambient sound. Combining the two audio sources has its own use cases, I just like how this one differentiates in that manner.I would say this one doesn't have as far a pickup range as the SmartMics and is not as sensitive, but it's still pleny omnidirectional and has better background noise cancellation (if that's a feature you need).

Impractical for mobile
When used on Android, it sends audio to device. Wish it could be an only mic Bluetooth and do away with the 3.5mm connection.

It’s so bad
It’s so bad, I don’t even know if it works half the time. Not even worth $20. This belongs in the garbage

Unusable for any type of content.
The sound quality on this is hot garbage. Its worse than your phone's internal microphone.Buy a wired lav mic for $12 instead and get usable audio.
