Eden 93413 Programmable Digital Water Timer 4-Zone, Compatible with Wireless Soil Moisture Sensor

This timer was easy to program all 4 zones to run at multiple different times per day. However, when I connected it to the hose bib on the house, water was pouring out of port #2. Even though I had it turned off, the water was still pouring out. I reset it hoping it was just a programming error, but it still did the same thing. I'm returning it for a replacement and hope the 2nd one actually works. ************************************************************************************************************************ I'm updating my review after receiving a replacement. The replacement timer works great! I've programmed the timer to run 4 zones 2 times per day and it works perfect! Changing from a 1 star to a 5.

I bought two of these in 2023. A few months later, one of the valves got stuck open. I emailed the company and they were able to provide a process to reset the valves. Just recently (two years after purchase), after storing the timer for the winter, both valves were stuck open but the reset procedure did not work. I emailed the company to get more support, and they send me a replacement (without my even asking).

Except for one quirk, I really love this timer. Programming it is fairly easy and the timer has performed well during the 2 or some months I've used it to water 4 zones of plants every other day or every 2nd day. The only thing I don't like about it is that my program is anything other than every day, the timer adds an extra day to the schedule each time any part of the program is changed. So if I am watering every 2 days (or every other day) and on a Monday change zone 1 from 15 minutes to 16 minutes, the program does not resume until Thursday instead of on Wednesday as originally set. This extra day is not added for changes if I'm watering every day. I've found a way to "trick" the program back to the schedule I originally set but it requires an extra step that should not be necessary. Despite this bother, I like this timer a lot. One nice feature is the spacing between the zone outlets that provides room for non-standard configurations. Note in my picture that I have a 1 to 2 splitter on zone 1 (far left) - something I could not do with another timer I tried that has all all the outgoing nozzle side by side.

I am very disappointed of this product! I bought 2 back in March and they were working great for the first 3 months. I have new grass sods an plants at my backbyard. I set the timer to water 15 to 20 mins twice a day on all zones. I was so confident because it was all working fine. Summer came and I noticed that my back yard plants and grass were getting dry and turning brown. When I check on timers, the setting was still up and running but the water is not coming out of some the outlets. I figured that it was valve issues! I contacted customer service via email since the product has 3 year warranty base on their website. Edward instructed me to do valve reset on the the problematic zones. He also instructed to put the water pressure between 20 to 80 psi. My water pressure was only 50 to 70 psi the whole time. After doing what has been instructed, problem still persists! Now it's actually worse and doing it on random valves. It is just so annoying and frustrating! I have to watch and monitor it if it's going to turn on or not, and I ended up watering my yard manually! I go to work 12 hours shift 3 to 4 days a week. I cannot water my yard and monitor the timers at the same time! It totally defeats the purpose of having a timer! Waste of time, money, plants and grass!

Works great! Easy to use and program. Long battery life even with daily use for an entire summer.

This was perfect for watering plants and trees on my slope. It has easy directions for use and is well made.

Easy to program and use. I like the various options to store settings, set manual watering and the optional Bluetooth moisture accessory helps to control the right amount of water to your lawn or garden beds. I placed Eden quick connects with water stops at the end of each hose bib to quickly swap the hose or to stop watering/prevent accidental water flow. Zero leaks and provides a good seal. This was the first season using it.

The Eden company was swift in reaching out to me after my negative review of the digital water timer. The very same day they sent me a form to fill out with the info about the problem and then a real person got back to me the same day with a suggested fix. It worked and can go back to being a happy gardener. I purchased this for the 2022 gardening season and it worked like a charm. Didn't use it Oct-April 2023 and in setting it up for this year's garden, zone 4 is not working. Not very good value for the $75 it cost last year.
