Great fun to use them to build to eat yourself pipe shelving units

They came with some surface rust, but that's expected from most of this iron pipe fittings (at local hardware stores they are definitely worse, full of rust). I cleaned them easy with some paint thinner to get rid of the rust and the oily film they have. However some discoloration occurred in some of the caps, they ended looking a lighter grey than the rest. The color is a dark, charcoal grey like color. Sadly they didn't match other pipes and fittings I had (some are light grey, others are shiny iron, others are black) so I ended painting them all satin black. They look really nice. My only gripe with them is that the threads are not correctly matched so when I screw the cap all the way in a pipe they don't end at the correct angle (parallel to the pipe). The are slanted. For most people that will use this for decorating it won't bother but if you're using these caps to secure something so it doesn't move, for example shelves, then the caps will allow some play. Overall for the price and quantity is a good product but be prepared to clean and have some color discrepancies with other iron pipe fittings and stuff.

It’s a pipe plug, not a major item

We used these to top some 1/2" pipe used as uprights in our garden. They fit perfectly and were easy to paint when we painted the bare pipe.

Used multiple products from this brand to make hanging storage in my garage. As expected, it's NOT the thick walled steel pipe from the hardware store. There's a reason it's so much cheaper. Still steel and plenty strong so long as you don't go being silly about it. Will come coated in oil as it's cold steel not stainless. Oil washed off easy enough with soap and water and the product painted well. All the threads were nicely functional and threaded without issue. Will use this brand again.
