Stanley still makes quality. Rare.
Although they no longer make steel cases, it is aluminum. No plastic. The rule is steel and the quality is beautiful. An aside on the delivery time. It was incredibly fast using a service called Roadie, Inc. They got the tape to me 7 days faster than Amazon calculated taking Amazon totally by surprise. Seller is ATR dist. Nice work people and thank you.

Best tape measure
I had another one of these for about 30 years and the tape finally cracked/broke (pictured with the new one). I used it for every home project on my fixer uppers and it never let me down. It is my favorite/most sentimental tool because we have been through a lot of projects together. I had no doubt I would replace it with the same for another 30 years. I was so happy they still make the exact model (also pictured). It may even outlast me!

carried one of these for thirty years.week i retired i broke it.been throughem all ,tapes stink ya ya .couldnt wait to get one again for my outside time!these tapes have always performed! keep in mind they all tear up with abuse.but old style stanleys are the bomb digity.

Easy to use & stays open when I need it.
It's easy to use & stays open & in place when I need it to. I wish it was a bit thinner. Kind of hard to hold on to.
