Soundstream VRCPAA-7DR 7" Double DIN Touchscreen Car Stereo, Wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, Bluetooth Hands-Free, USB/AUX, Backup Camera Input, Steering Wheel Control, FM/AM, In-Dash Head Unit

My stepbrother got a nice new truck with some fancy accessories, and had been bit by the audio bug with his last car. I got this radio for him for Christmas - I got the dash kit and wiring harness for his vehicle pretty cheap from my workplace, but this was still the best deal on a radio that has all the fixins. Seriously, you aren't going to find a better radio at this price, I looked. It has android auto, apple carplay, USB hookups, an aux port (both front-mounted!!), CD/DVD player, 13-band equalizer, a full gamut of RCA hookups for front and rear channel preouts, subs, cameras, etc. and a respectable RMS power rating. Real world testing shows this unit to put out 17-18W RMS, which is more than you'll find from Pioneers and Duals, and on-par with Sony. The screen is decently bright, too, which was something I figured would be an issue at this price point. He loves it, it gets plenty loud for him, and for my mother too, she complained to me on day 2 of him having it, asking why I had to get him this. Haha.

So far it's great

This is an affordable unit to get out of the factory stereo. This stereo does come with a Remote control, pretty simple to use, Does have Bluetooth connectivity. The stereo does support Apple CarPlay but only WIRED CONNECTION. That's the only thing that I didn't like about this stereo.

They said, at the install they couldn't hook it to the steering wheel controls, but it works perfect other than that so I got my money's worth and then some I feel. I really like how it plays the DVDs on long trips and the sound is fine except no one wants to talk on the phone with me if I'm on the car phone they say they can't hear me clearly.

Screen would go fuzzy and would require being reset multiple times within a week

Just installed, sounds good, tons of features, having some trouble with Android Auto Connecting to my phone, but if that is the only issue, 5 start from me!

This unit is trash. This is the 2nd one ive bought in a 5 wks. 1st one screen detached and had zero lcd screen. Actually threw it in the trash and ordered another soundstream unit. 2nd SOUNDSTREAM unit on the 2nd day the volume control knob froze and will not turn either direction. Called seller and got ZERO interaction from them. No return calls or emails nothing. Called amazon ( highly pissed now) and they are sending a replacement. Last chance for soundstream products. But guys there are better units dont waste your time and definitely dont waist your money on this junk. I tried .. twice. They failed on multiple fronts

Nice head unit. You WILL need an amp. They didn't leave out the wattage information by chance. It's because it will barely drive the stock speakers. My little Jensen Bluetooth unit did waaaaay better. However it's a nice unit with Android Auto and backup camera option. Instructions for installation of camera are fuzzy at best. But so far a nice unit. Still searching for the Bass turn up options..... Update, added an amp and now I'm totally frustrated. This is a complete waste. The sound quality is just poor. Absolutely no bass and no clear highs. It's pretty junk.
