Replacement part that works!
I purchased the InSinkErator Antimicrobial Quiet Collar Sink Baffle (QCB-AM) as a replacement splash guard for my Evolution series garbage disposal after first trying a cheaper, inauthentic alternative. The difference was immediately noticeable. With the off-brand replacement, my sink drained noticeably slower, even though it appeared to fit correctly. After switching to this titled 100% authentic InSinkErator part, normal drainage was restored right away. The disposal performs as expected, with no water backing up in the sink. One key difference I noticed is the rubber quality. This component feels softer and more flexible than the cheaper replacement, which may explain the improved drainage and overall performance. It seals properly without restricting water flow, while still doing its job as a splash guard and sound reducer. Installation was quick and easy, fit was perfect, and the antimicrobial feature is a nice added bonus for long-term cleanliness. Although I would still recommend removing it periodically for cleaning and eventually replace. While it costs more than generic options, it’s absolutely worth it for proper performance and peace of mind. Bottom line: If your sink is draining slowly after replacing the insert, don’t waste time, or money, buying knockoffs. This titled genuine InSinkErator replacement part works exactly as intended.

High-quality product that does what it says
Amazing fit, excellent functionality, and easy to use, it does what it says, and it’s priced very well I highly recommend this product, but make sure you buy the right size.

Works in older models, too.
My Insinkerator is from the early 2000s and still works good. The baffle had started disintegrating in the past couple of years. My wife wasn't happy looking into the innards of the drain so asked me to fix it. The old models use a baffle that is one-piece with the gasket that goes between unit and sink. There is an upgrade kit that includes a two-piece seal and baffle for older units, but you still have to remove the unit from below to install the seal between unit and sink, and then you can pop the baffle in from top. This baffle says it's only for newer units. BUT, if you carefully cut or tear off (assuming it was falling apart as mine was) the old baffle, this one fits perfectly from the top. Nothing to unbolt from below, just pop this in. Now, it looks like new!

Just Make Sure That It’s Seated Properly
It’s truly amazing that there are any severely negative reviews of this item. It fits perfectly in my Evolution series OEM drain collar, water flows through it unimpeded at maximum faucet flow and it seals 100% when the original drain stopper is inserted. It’s new, so no confirmation of the anti-microbial properties as yet. True, it is less “robust” than the original, but that is likely by design (remember all the complaints about how hard it was to push waste through the previous version!) The quality of the rubber and manufacturing are top rate. I have no doubt that this is an authentic factory replacement. Just one thing to be aware of, it’s a snug fit and easy to think that it’s seated properly when it isn’t. There is a groove at the very bottom of the drain collar, just above the bottom lip, and a slightly raised ridge above the groove (look at the side of the rubber insert and you’ll see what you’re dealing with.) I suspect that many encounter the resistance at the top ridge and think they’ve got it, when they don’t. Pressing down more firmly will expose this situation, when the insert slips down into the groove (its fully seated position.) To accomplish this more confidently (once partially installed to the top of the ridge), push down in just one place along the edge of the insert to get it started and then work your way around until it’s completely down in the bottom groove. My original insert was about 5 years old and in pretty good shape. Recently, an unsuccessful attempt to clear a clogged drain with Liquid Plumber resulted in its being submerged for more than a day in the nasty corrosive mixture until an actual plumber came to fix the problem. Unfortunately, that was the end of the road for the original insert (not so good for the stainless either, I had to scrub away the surface layer to restore its original luster.) Expensive lesson learned, next time I’ll just call a plumber (still expensive, but would’ve been significantly less so.)

Thinner than the original piece, but it fits and works well.
This fits my Insinkerator just fine, but it feels more flimsy than the one that originally came with the unit. The material is thinner, so I expect it will wear out sooner than the original piece did.

Works even on older units
The 30 year old insinkerator in my home finally had the pedals of the splash reducer start falling off. I didn't realize at first that it is also a gasket for that connection. I cut off the remaining rubber and popped this bad boy on top. It fits perfectly in the existing groove that it is meant to fit in and does a vastly superior job of muffling the sound and stopping the nasty water from splashing all over the kitchen

Replacement for sink disposal drain
It is what is needed for any sink that has a disposal. Easy to install and stays in place. No tools needed.

Perfect replacement
Fits just like the original. I was so tired of cleaning that one, it had multiple holes that would get gunked up and gross. This is not as stiff, as people have complained about but I like that food goes down the drain now vs just sitting on the baffle. Less holes and crevices means less places for food to get caught and get stinky. It just seems cleaner and more streamline.
