Great Book
I loved this book. I loved the child with a handicap being loved and the man falling in love with the woman because she was a good woman who loved his child

it was excellent story about how people are changed by their life ...
It wasn't the mystery story I was expecting. However, it was excellent story about how people are changed by their life experiences. It makes them change into who and what they are, You can only change yourself when you face and deal with events and the issues that changed you. A good story also on how deaf people face many challenges in their lives and how something as simple, learning to sign , is a big step in opening the lines of communications with the deaf community.

Great book
Written in such great detail. You could really feel the characters as if you were one of them. Great read!

Yawn.....
i'm actually relieved to see it is a reprint of an old book, because this was NOT Brown at her best. I usually loooove her books, but this one - not so much. The romance part of it was kinda dumb. I liked the premise, with the deaf child, but a 3 year old child does NOT act like this. gonna ask amazon for my money back, cause this was a bait and switch.

ADORABLE!
This might be one of Sandra Brown's older books however, Eloquent Silence is still one of the better romances. It has all of the elements that make up a great story: interesting plot, dynamic characters, witty dialogue and lots of tension. Drake and Lauri spend so much time trying to decide rather or not to have an affair, it is a wonder they manage to get anything else done. And then there is little Jennifer, the cutest little daughter a father could have.... What more could a novel want or need?

Eloquent Silence
Very enjoyable story. I liked the fact that the issue of hearing impaired was the bases of the story line. I have never encountered that in any books I read in the past. The story was believable with the exception of the extent of the teachers' head games she had with herself as to her lovers intent. The story ended well with an outline of what their future holds.

Irritating
I love this author's books, even most of her earlier ones. But this? This was like reading about everything that was so dumb with the 80's. The two main characters just did nothing for me and although I finished the book, I wanted to stop in at least 10 places. Drake was the epitome of what women wanted in the eighties, and was just too too. In fact, he was probably too much back then too, but women wanted to read about rude, pushy, overbearing men who lost it over the women they loved. More power to them and I'm glad that's improved.I'm glad I read the book on one hand and am angry with myself for wasting my time on the other. She's still one of my all time favorites, but I'm SO glad her writing improved.I

Love this story
I have read this story many times and have always loved it. It's both sexy and endearing. It seems a common theme that men and women don't understand what the other is thinking and never believe anything on face value. That is a struggle that the main character struggles with and I (as a hopeless romantic) continue to yell at her, "you're an idiot!".
