This is an excellent product if you're a beginner when it comes to straight razor shaving. I plan to eventually get a real straight razor, but this shavette helped me get my feet wet and learn the basics.The disposable razor blades it comes with have been great so far, haven't had any issues yet. I recommend changing the razor EACH time you shave. It comes with 100 for a reason and they're cheap to buy more. Don't try and save a few cents by reusing the razors, it's not worth the potential to shave with a bad used razor blade.I personally didn't care for the Arko shave soap. It smells funny, dries up too quickly (especially if you're taking your time), and doesn't wash off easily. I recommend a different shave soap.The mug is a standard ceramic mug. Not much to say.Overall it's a good way to step into the world of straight razor shaving.

Good starting kit for sure, only thing is I wish they would’ve sprung for an arko bowl of soap instead of the stick, as they did include a shaving bowl, not a huge problem thoughExpect to get cut your first several times, it’s a practice

My husband was so surprised at the quality of this shaving set. He loves the soap and it’s foaming ability.! He loves the close shave of the straight razor and he couldn’t believe how many blades came with this set😷! Very good quality for the money!

I love it! No problems with the blade. Just don't be a goof. Take your time and you won't cut yourself. I do use 2 blades per shave.

I love a straight razor shave and with this I get it all the time

This brand of blades can’t hold an edge for more than 2 passes. The handle came with machining marks and rough edges that I needed to sand down.
