Perfect!
Very warm and sturdy jacket. I do wish there was a cell phone pocket inside the jacket though. It's kind of annoying not having a cell phone pocket nowadays. The jacket material is waterproof and I have had no problems with rain getting in the jacket apart from rain water getting on the fuzzy material around the collar. This hasn't really presented a problem but it can be a little annoying if you flip your collar up and a bunch of cold water hits you. The badge holder seems sturdy and I had no problems with it ripping or not fitting properly. Despite the fact that I'm always getting my badge caught on the seat belt. The pockets are quite spacious but they do not expand as you would assume they do from their design. You can still fit a number of items inside however you will not be able to slide your hands in the side to use them as hand warmer pockets because there will be no room for your hands. I've had to wash this jacket in the washer and dryer a couple of times and the color has not faded whatsoever. The elastic cuffs around the sleeves help to keep wind from going up your sleeves and I found that this jacket can keep you comfortable in sub 40 degree weather. Any weather warmer than about 45 degrees and this jacket will keep you too hot. This is strictly a cold-weather jacket. The jacket fits pretty loose so if you have to wear a vest underneath your jacket then you should be find to comfortably wear this and move around. If you have an external carrier with a couple of pouches that are relatively flush to your body you should be fine as well. But if you have a large amount of gear on your carrier you might want to order a size up to have that extra room. Zipper is a large plastic zipper and I've had no problems with it catching or being difficult to use whatsoever. The zipper has been very impressive and there is a piece of cloth behind a zipper to keep wind from getting through. The wings on the shoulder snap to the jacket pretty well and allow you to put a small radio on your shoulder without popping the snap. Most people just put a speaker mic on their shoulder but if you don't have one you can put the entire radio on your shoulder and it'll keep it there. Some of the larger Motorola units will be too heavy though. The tag printed on the back of the jacket is about 2 inches off but I don't see how that's important at all it's just something I noticed. So far my duty belt has not completely trashed up the elastic on the bottom of the jacket but has pilled up pretty bad however I have a pill remover that I can run over it so it hasn't really shown to be an issue it's just something I noticed. The color is very soft but doesn't seem to stay up right when you flip it up to get a little extra warmth. It wants to lay down flush with your neck and shoulders which is actually a very good thing because it makes the jacket look very presentable. I do think that the color might be slightly too big though but that's just me being picky. The pockets are large enough to fit my cell phone (it has a 6-inch screen) and I'm also able to stuff my gloves in the other pocket. The only downside I really see with this jacket is that the material although waterproof is very noisy. When you move your arms around or when you walk around you hear the fabric making a sort of crinkling kind of noise. This noise is not bad enough to the point where I don't want to wear the jacket but it is something that I notice. Other materials are pretty quiet when moved around but this jacket is pretty noisy. However it is very warm and it is waterproof so I suppose that the sturdy material on the outside is just going to make however much noise at wants to. It's a pretty coarse material that has held up very well and I've had no problems with ripping or tearing the material at all even around the armpits and elbows. The material does wrinkled pretty bad though. The jacket came out of the box wrinkly and despite putting it through the washer and dryer are there still a lot of wrinkles however just by wearing it and sitting down in a vehicle for a while I have put more wrinkles in the jacket but also broken up some of the bad wrinkles that the jacket was shipped to me with. They stuff this thing in the box pretty good. I do wish that the jacket was a little higher though. I find that it's constantly wanting to fall over my duty belt and I would prefer that it's at about my duty belts waistline. It does want to dip down in the front but I'm okay with it going over my buckle. All and all I would definitely recommend this jacket if you're looking to stay warm this winter while looking sharp on a budget. This jacket is definitely sturdy enough and warm enough to use in a law enforcement or security type environment. Assuming it meets your departments uniform regulations, you should be good to sew your badging and or patches on and use this jacket as part of your foul weather attire. I ordered a medium and it fit as expected. I also have a very long arms and surprisingly this jacket still covers my arms when my arms are extended.

Very comfortable
I was disappointed that it has no inside pockets, but for the price I can't complain much. I bought this for temporary use while I wait for my employer to replace the jacket they issued to me, which had a defective zipper. It fits comfortably and keeps me just as warm as the one I was issued. As a side benefit, since it has no company patches or other insignia, I can wear it off duty, and I have been needing a new jacket for that purpose.

Buyer Beware.
Not happy with this jacket at all and not even confident it is a First Class product at all. We have used First Class clothing for years to uniform our guards and have been relatively satisfied. However by comparison with this jacket we are talking apples and oranges. The jacket is at best a light but bulky windbreaker. The other is was the sizing. I ordered a 3X. What I received was not even close. While it was labeled 3X, at best it was a XL. It is a common practice by some clothing manufacturers when they are short of something in one size they will intentionally mislabel the garment to fill an order. In addition to the cost of the jack we spend an additional $20 to patch it so needless to say we are not happy. Did I mention there was a short deadline for returns. Guess what? We missed it.

Great Jacket
I ordered bigger than I needed just to be on the safe side as I didn't know how it would fit. I'm a bigger person in the stomach area and jackets tend to be tight there. This one was a great fit to go over my uniform and duty belt with ease and extra room (since I got a bigger size than needed). I would probably recommend a size up to be on the safe side. It's super warm and the collar is nice and soft.

Coat Ok but size 2x too small.
Me: 6ft 3in, 235lbs, slightly pear shaped. Size is a full 2 times too small. I normally get 2x. Based on reviews, I ordered 3x...still too small over a thin felt vest. Reordered 4x and a perfect fit. Not used coat yet but stitching good. Zipper plastic, but large. NOTE: some info says it has inside pockets...NONE inside. I ordered 2 sew pockets on Amazon @$10 for my cell so consider that in price. They say dry clean but I have always regular washed my nylon guard coats. Will update later on result. Insulation thick but will compact over time. Ok...I use layers for year-round use. Nylon is a thin material and poly or cotton is more durable but more expensive. Nylon gives better mobility and cooler in summer.. This is a good mid-grade coat at a mid-grade price. I always feel guilty returning an item for size but Amazon is so good at cust. service I rarely shop anywhere else for anything.

Fits as I hoped
I purchased this as a gift for a tall, slim young man. I worried about the fit as I wanted it to be 'loose/roomy' and yet not baggy. It fit the way I hoped....snug at the waist 'n cuffs yet roomy enuff in the chest to wear his vest comfortably underneath. The material sounded loud 'n 'crunchy' when he took it out of the packaging but after he wore it for a day or so, most of the stiffness left and he wasn't near as noisy..lol
