There are different types of propolis according to its botanical origin and geographical region. Brazilian green propolis has been reported to contain many biological active compounds, including cinnamic acid derivatives (e.g., artepillin C, baccharin) which is very beneficial to our health.

Q: What's the propylene glycol for? Isn't that in antifreeze?

1. The water is the worst as a solvent to extract Propolis Substances. The propolis produced with water is not effective in susbtances (Flavonoid, Phenolic Compounds and Arteppilin C) The extraction by water is about 10x less than the Alcohol or Propylene. 2. propylene glycol USP is used in Food industry as solvent, in cosmetics and for other industries, as this is versatile. It is not toxic and is allowed to be used for foods. We manufacture it according to FDA guidelines.
