This works as it says, but it does leave a haze on hair unless you work it in until the point that it isn't as effective. I would say it is definitely better for light hair colors over light brown or darker. I have used it more in the middle section of my hair than on top though and it still helps volume there, but I will probably try to find this in a dark shade. Either way it works much better than dry shampoo for volume.

I use this on the second or third day after washing my hair to put some texture back in. It actually works to get rid of oils and makes my hair look fresh and clean.

This didn’t work well for me, although my friend tried it and LOVED it, we have different hair types I have curly frizzy hair she has straight hair that gets greasy easy. It’s a great price and I referred it to her and she loves it!

i have pretty flat hair and am always looking for ways to add some volume, especially at the roots. this powder does a good job texturizing at the roots. i have dark hair but the powder absorbs in pretty well to where i am not seeing any residue. i like the applicator - it puts out just the right amount of powder at each press of the button.

Other reviewers have complained about this texturizing powder causing dullness and/or leaving a white powder hue in their hair. These people are not using the product correctly. Texture powder products are to be used in the under layers of hair at the scalp, not on top. Blend it into your scalp with your fingers and the white hue vanishes leaving the texture behind. A finishing spray is the only thing that should go on top. The pump on this product allows for super easy and precise application which I prefer to tapping it on like similar products and it only takes 3-5 pumps. The smell is awesome and the texture it creates has the perfect grit to keep your top layers from falling flat!

My wife loves trying new beauty and hair products. She has used the brand before and wanted to give it a try. She assumes being a powder it could be a great lightweight solution to volumizing hair. It is a white powder with a pump. The directions say to pump 6 inches away from your roots. My wife pre-pumped it a few times to make sure it was working. Powder was coming out very minimally which was great but on the second pump to her roots a huge amount shot out. We guess this was the regular pump and she just hadn’t done it enough times to begin with. She has very dark hair and it was incredibly difficult to get this to blend or “massage” in as the directions read. Just that 1 pump was too much for all of her hair, unfortunately. Her hair is long and thick, it’s just a massive pump. She tried to brush some out and made it work. Later she ended up with her hair up and when she put it back down and ran her fingers through it she wondered why it felt so strange and remembered the new product. It felt thicker, but like there was so much powder still in it. She wasn’t a fan at all for her hair personally, unfortunately.

Hard to take a pic but even at 6” away (or farther) and the lightest half pump possible, I get specks of white powder on my face and scalp. They are easily rubbed away but you have to be SUPER careful with this product. It is NOT always a fine mist of powder but drops of it sometimes. There is definitely a learning curve to using this product.The powder lightens my naturally dark hair color and dulls the natural shine and gloss of it. It makes my hair look “old” if that makes sense. I do like the texture and volume it adds to my fine hair and I do love the travel friendly size of the product but I’m not sure I’m ready for fluffy, old lady hair. I DO think this may be better suited for blondes and other lighter hair colors.

This stuff is great! It really increased the volume of my hair. Mine is very fine and naturally straight. It has a fresh scent that I like. The bottle has a pump and it kind of mists the powder out. The powder is not sticky either. Some of these volumizers that add texture feel tacky to me. This one feels clean. The only problem I had was I accidentally inhaled a smidge as I was applying it. Don’t do that!
