Super product!
These always work well and super easy to set up. You just need a 5 gallon bucket and once you set it up and put the bait in the right spots, mice no more! I have one in my basement and catch mice periodically, but the one in my barn is so crazy, probably 5 - 10 each night!

Cheap Junk
First of all, I bought the three pack and the first one I opened was broken. I opened a second one and it was okay but these do not go together well, they are very cheaply made, typical plastic junk from China. Once it was put together I got a bucket and tried to attach it, and it would not fit. The directions do say to make sure you have a bucket that isn’t warped etc. So, I got a brand new bucket from Tractor Supply and still it is too small to effectively fit and lock onto the bucket (I tried a couple of others that I have around and same thing). So, I did get it to attach enough so it is on there, just not completely locked down. Next problem, the black trap door that the rodent walks onto and hopefully falls into the bucket, well that works well as long as you use a minuscule amount of bait. I smeared some peanut butter on there and even a small glob is enough to throw it off balance. Finally I figured out the best you can do is take a small smear of peanut butter on a paper towel and lightly coat a small area. As I said, cheaply made. Next issue is the little ladder that they provide. It is in two pieces and it does not stay together well, several times I found that it came apart when the mice were using it (this poorly made plastic junk DOES catch mice, I’ll give it that). I figured maybe the ladder was broken or just did not fit properly so I got the ladder I had left over from the one that came through broken and same thing, the fitting is poor. I ended up gluing it so it would stay together. I have caught several mice with it and it’s nice to just empty out the water with a few drowned mice floating around and then put it back into service. It’s just very cheaply made and certainly not worth the money they charge.

Farmer’s mice…gone
This is the only anti-mouse product I’ve ever used that actually works. I’m a farmer. Tons of mice. This caught 8 in the first week, and as it gets colder I expect I’ll see more. I’m always afraid to use poisons because they’re lethal to our pets and other wildlife, and it keeps me up at night with worry. I’ve tried fixing so many holes. I’ve had indoor and outdoor cats. Honestly? This was meant to be something that sorta helped but I seriously think it’s cutting down my mice so fast that I’m not hearing or seeing evidence of any at the time of year when I’d normally have a lot of problems. Super easy to clean, fits on regular paint buckets. The little tabs holding it on the bucket are inflexible and cheap so expect to break a few off figuring it out - whatever, just secure with duct tape. Works like a charm.

Work well, pretty easy to set up
We’ve been using these about a week. I put chunky peanut butter in the lid and taped it down using gaffer tape (per other reviews), and added bird seed in the bottom of the bucket also per the instructions and other reviews. On average, we get 2 mice per trap per night with 2 of the traps that are set up with the ramp propped up on a stair so it’s not as steep of a climb. The 3rd trap has been in the garage with the ramp on the floor - so far, we haven’t caught any with this set up and location and I know there are mice in there, so I moved it to the basement with the other and set the ramp on the stair. I don’t know if the ramps (plastic) are too slick and steep when they’re on the floor, but since I haven’t caught any in the garage I’ll try 2 traps in the basement.Other reviews mentioned the tight/ill fitting lids with buckets from Home Depot or Lowes. This was the case with the buckets we’re using from Menards. I found that I could get 3 of the 4 clasps the fit when putting the lid on with the bucket upright, but not the fourth no matter how hard I tried pushing the side of the lid inward. When I laid the bucket down and pressed on the bucket - sort of mushing it into the ground - I got the fourth to latch. I can see where if I pressed to hard or too quickly I could either break the bucket or the lid, but I did a slow, controlled press just firm enough to get the 4th clasp on the lid to latch correctly. The ramps are flimsy and not that well designed in my opinion, but at least when propped up on a stair they work well enough and haven’t collapsed (larger rodents would likely collapse them). After the first night of use I also found that mice had chewed away a pretty good portion of the black flap along the edge. I don’t know why or when this occurred (there were 2 mice in the bucket), but have not noticed this since or on the other buckets.I would recommend these for field and kangaroo mice with the caveat that they aren’t perfect, but they’re definitely working and easy to use. Each morning I release the mice into the forrest about 50 yards from the house (I’m not using water to drown the mice). I will update this after I clean them and have to remove the lids and reattach per my above description a few times to see if they’re durable. We have a mice problem, so I was hoping for several per night. I might have to up the amount of peanut butter to see if I can attract more mice. Stay tuned.

Did not work for me!
Might work for mice I believe strongly because it does not work for these rats. I tried everything to get this rodent and this one rodent is too smart for this bucket trick. Flour, chocolate, peanut butter, dial soap etc…

They work great over and over again.
I like this trap because it allows for a human release for the mice into the woods, or if you choose to use water and drown the mice you can dispose the mice where other predator can find them for food and not be poisoned.
