Great item for everyday chores for a non smoker
I was looking for a lighter to melt paracord. There’s a million choices but the thought of a classic Zippo was what was floating my boat. The blue case is a nice bright blue darkish shade. I replaced the internal lighter section with one of the Zippo butane torch inserts. Filled the butane and it works a treat. It’ll be a great addition to my EDC and hobby projects.

Works like a Zippo should!
I've owned a couple Zippo lighters over the years. So far, I've never had to throw one away because it stopped working. I generally either lose them or leave them places on accident. Thankfully, at this price, it isn't too much of a problem to just buy a new one every 3 years or so. This matte black lighter is no exception. Build quality on these continues to impress me. The finish is smooth and even, resistant to scuffs and scratches, and definitely looks much classier than your standard disposable lighter. I've never run into a bad authentic Zippo myself, and have heard very rarely about others having faulty products (which the company is great about repairing/replacing). I never go camping or hiking without my Zippo!Pros:- Nice matte finish. It'll stand up to scuffs and scratches, and doesn't stand out like a sore thumb.- Overall build quality is phenomenal. The hinge, reservoir, case, and everything else on my lighter are without flaw.- Made in the USA by a company that proudly backs it's product.- Cheaper here than you'd find at most tobacco shops or specialty stores.Cons:- Drop this in the grass or dirt at night and you may have some trouble finding it again if it wasn't lit.And a couple words of note after reading other reviews on here.1. Be aware that this (and any other Zippo) will be shipped WITHOUT any lighter fluid. This is not an Amazon thing or a USPS thing. These lighters are shipped from the manufacturer without fluid in them. If you go to a tobacco shop to buy this same lighter (at 50% markup or more), it will also come without fluid. Sometimes, the clerk will fill it up out of courtesy. But getting the Zippo-branded lighter fluid is cheap and easy. A small 4oz. can should last you for quite a long time.2. Expect the fluid to run out quickly the first few times you fill it up. I'm only speculating, but I think this is likely due to the material in the reservoir as well as in the wick taking a bit to thoroughly absorb the fluid. Mine usually run out within the first couple days on the first fill-up, then about a week on the secon fill-up. After that, filling the reservoir will have you set for quite awhile. The same 4oz. can mentioned above should get you through several months if you're a regular smoker, and potentially years if you only use the lighter on occasion.

Damn do I feel cool with this thing
Even though I'm not really a smoker, but it was really nice to have this on hand in case a friend or nice lady needed a light. Kind of a pain to refill though, I'll admit. It does run out of juice fairly quickly too. But overall a very nice piece to have in your pocket. Slim, stylish and overall a really perfect lighter.

Nice Lighters
It is a very nice lighter. I bought five to be customized for a wedding party gift to my groomsman. Some problems I noticed were the lighter being stuck in the case. This was easily fixed with a swiss army nice or pliers to pull out the lighter via the chimney slots. Make sure to wipe it down with hand sanitizer and it will resolve this issue. Overall, excellent quality as expected from a Zippo.

Fire!!
This thing works okay and looks as I would have expected. Now I can start fires. My only disappointment is that it seems to leak a lot of fuel into the air over time. I had it on a dresser and it smelled like butane fuel over by the dresser until I finally just stuck it in the garage. So that sucks, but I don’t know if that is just how Zippos are or what. But hey, it works okay otherwise and seems cool.

Basic Zippo Lighter
Classic Zippo, appears to be authentic, made in USA Zippo. Functions just as it should, lighting easily every time and holding flame even in a fair wind. I put a gasket in mine. First time I ever used one of them. Seems to help as I can light over twenty times a day for over a week easily between fillings. Usual, to have to refill every 3 to 5 days.

Buy lighter fluid! Watch video on how to fill it
I was throughly let down when this lighter didn’t light upon arrival; nothing tells you it ships empty and need lighter fuel. A couple days lighter when my lighter fluid arrived, there is no paperwork on how to fill it. So I proceeded to figure it out and lost the flint. Moral of the story, you must familiarize yourself with this style lighter. Watch the video on manufacturers website on how to fill it. It’s basic and easy if you’re familiar. To fill, remove lighter from case, flip over, remove screw carefully (spring loaded) and roll over to drop flint out of screw hole, remove thick pad, pour Zippo lighter juice into cotton (not the screw hole), remove excess fuel by rolling over in a safe location, put thick pad back, drop flint into screw hole, replace spring screw, wipe down, put into outer case. THERE MAY BE RESIDUAL FUEL SO I DONT RECOMMEND BEING COOL AND LIGHTING IT RIGHT AWAY

Great quality
Not so big, but that’s even better. Still works perfectly after 1 year of usage. Just refilling the gasoline and changing small iron ball from time to time.

it's small
It's a Zippo, but it's smaller than a normal one. I did not know this. Everything is the same, but, it's smaller.

Solid
Love the colour, and the timeless feel of a Zippo is worth the purchase. Not quite as reliable as your standard Bic lighter, but is definitely more stylish to whip out when someone needs a light.
