DuexNew Origami Kickstand Series Portable Laptop Monitor

I purchased the origami kickstand for my Duex Monitor because this is the only stand available, besides the one attached to the computer. I've tried everything to make this thing stand and hold my monitor, and nothing works. The magnets are not strong enough so they pop out of the monitor. This is not worth $35, it's not even worth $1 since it cannot be used.

This Duex New Origami Kickstand Series Portable Laptop Monitor truly blew away my expectations. This product is so good and incredible. Probably the best product I’ve ever seen. I’m so glad I purchased the Duex New Origami Kickstand Series Portable Laptop Monitor.

Opening and closing the monitor is really hard. It doesn’t slide well and I broke off a piece of plastic. Now the monitor sticks out slightly. Still works but I use it less and less because it’s so clunky. Basically it’s not great quality.

So I almost never write reviews but I got this item at noon and it’s already made my life so much easier. My only complaint is that it’s lightweight until you attach it to the computer then it makes the screen really heavy. I wish this thing had a kickstand or something to help with the weight. But overall I LOVE having a second screen. I tried connecting my iPad as a second monitor and it was very irritating because it kept disconnecting but this solved the problem for me. Just hope it doesn’t wear out the hinge’s on my computer display to much.

This review is for the Kickstand only. I have had Duex Plus monitor for some time now, and it works pretty well if you're gentle with it. This Kickstand though, is a terrible design. I literally just wasted nearly $40 on this piece of plastic that doesn't do what I expected it to do: hold up the monitor when I don't want it stuck on the back of my laptop. I think ANY other design of a monitor stand would be preferable to this. Oragami? Well, it does fold over like a piece of paper, and then it falls over. Put any force on it at any angle and the magnets pop off the monitor. Sending it back.

You set it in place but it just moves on its own and falls down. The magnets keep getting separated every time you try to set it in place. Waste of money. You’re better off loading it against something solid

The idea behind it was a good one, but the actual product it garbage. I spend more time just trying to get the screen to stay up than actual work. its like they overthought the purpose of a kickstand. the Origami folding is either not supportive enough or it just bounces back causing the scree to topple over. waste of money. You would be better off with a box holding it up.

This stand is very flimsy. It will fall over with little disturbance of the desk area that the stand is on. The magnets came out of the stand within a few days of having it also. Luckily I didn't pay for it, my work did. Save your money.
