So in the 1890s, Joseph William Foster made some of the first known running shoes with spikes in them. By 1895, he was in business making shoes by hand for top runners; and before long his fledgling company, J.W. Foster and Sons, developed an international clientele of distinguished athletes.

Surprisingly Nice
I have not bough reebok shoes in quite some time, well over ten years. I have been running over 20 years and been sticking with Asics and sometimes Nike. Remember when the DMX shoes first came out?My Size: 6ft and 190lbsLately I have been trying out more minimalist shoes for day to day wear, trail running and gym work, I also own a pair of Nike Free's. Given the price I figured I would give Reebok another shot. When I got them out of the box I noticed instantly that they are nowhere near as flexible and bendable as the Nike Free's. I consider this shoe more of a running shoe with a more rigid sole that is designed similarly to the free. Overall the shoes are comfortable to walk in but over the course of the day I noticed the back of the heel was digging into my foot. Not enough to blister but enough to make slightly irritated to touch, definitely sore. I have run some small distances in these shoes and they feel good and stable but I would still not want to run further than ten miles on the road with these.I would recommend these shoes for walking shoes, light running and possibly some trail running. For the money it is a pretty decent shoe.

Great running shoes
I purchased these shoes after I started running again for the first time since high school, a good decade. With the running shoes I started out with I was developing shin splints something I had never gotten before even though in high school I'd run track. These shoes immediately helped with that. Though they can't eliminate the pain, because I need to fully heal first, the drastically reduced it. Before I got these the pain was to the point I'd had to quit running again while I waited for them to arrive because just walking had become painful. These shoes are light weight, fit tightly on the foot; though I did have to get a half size bigger than normal because when I tried on my normal size my toes were tight against both the top of the shoe as well as the toe of the shoe meaning I would have been uncomfortable in my normal size. This is attributed to quite a thick insole that is easily removed if you wish. These shoes work well on concrete but where they excel is grass and trail running. The few times I've gotten to use them there it's felt like I was running on that rubberized playground mat. A odd feeling at first but easy on the joints.I don't normally review cloths as its not my forte, but these shoes are great.

Nice pair of sports shoes for jogging as well as other exercises.
I haven't had any exercise for past 2-3 years due to hectic grad school schedule. Hence after a long time of online research I found these to be the perfect fit for my requirements. I was looking for a pair meant not just for jogging but for other exercise regimes as well. I got them last week and so far they have been really good. I am mostly using them for cardio exercises and some light weights.Features: Awesome color, nicely done sole and most importantly ultra light weight.Cons: Well not exactly but some points to consider when buying these. As one reviewer pointed out that using them for a long time would cause you to hurt your ankle. Also you need to buy one size higher than usual. I usually wear UK Size 10.5 for men but for this one the size 11 fit me well. Let's see how it survives the test of time when I use it for more rigorous workouts.

and they are just as comfortable as ever
I've been using and abusing these shoes for almost 3 years now. I'm on my third pair of laces, the shoes themselves are finally beginning to look worn, and they are just as comfortable as ever. That's a significant statement for someone who literally can destroy any other pair of shoes in just a few months- New Balance, Nike, Adidas, Puma, Skecher, you name it. I can break them. These shoes? Not so much. My only regret is not buying another pair while this specific version was still available. They do, however, run small. I ordered a pair at first in my normal size (12D), only to find out that they were short and unbearable to wear. I exchanged them for a pair in 13D, and it's been smooth sailing ever since.I've run mile after mile in these shoes, including a Warrior Dash, have hiked, biked, lounged, studied, worked and just about everything else you can imagine in these shoes. When I replace them, I can honestly say that I will be more than a little sad to see them go.

Nice looking, Lightweight, but lacks comfort
I lift weights in the gym and run inside and outdoors. For running I always use Adidas. I needed a lightweight cross-training shoe for lifting and gym cardio. Reebok's marketing caught my eye and I decided to give it a try figuring I only would be in them a hour a day anyway. I was immediately satisfied by the look and design. The first thing I noticed when putting on the shoes was the tongue is paper thin and will try to fold up EVERY time you put on the shoes. A lot of times you want to be able to throw on athletic wear so that is an annoying feature. Once on I noticed the shoes were a little snug and the heel lip was pressing against my upper heel. The first time wearing these shoes I used "no show" socks and it rubbed a blister on the back of one heel. I've since bought some ankle socks just for these shoes. Though they are light I don't feel the fit is good enough for me to chance running in them. I'm a couple weeks in at this point and hope they'll break in a little more. Overall, I would not recommend this shoe.

Looks great, feels great!
I was a little skeptical when buying this shoe because I've always been a Nike guy, but I love these Reebok Realflex Cross-Trainers. They look sharp and provide excellent support when jogging and working out. For $40, I'm not sure what more I could have asked for!Like others have noted, I think they do tend to run a little small and narrow. But rather than going up a half size, I would suggest just wearing them around the house and breaking them in a little before working out in them. In my opinion at least, its better to have shoes that fit just a little too snug than ones that slide even the slightest bit when I'm working out.I can't speak to their durability as of yet because I've only had them for a short time, but there are no flaws that I can see thus far. I would highly recommend these shoes, Reebok has done an excellent job with them.
