Decent price for this standard style of CD case
This is the case that I buy on a regular basis. As far as the dimensions, it comes the closest to the old time cases that you used to get when you bought CD's at the store. They are a bit flimsier than the older ones but I haven't been able to find any others that rival the durability or quality of the old fashion CD cases. These are not the slim ones.....they are the standard CD sized case with a thickness of around 10mm. If you want to write or type on the sides or end of the case, this is the style you want. It contains a removable black tray to hold the actual CD. If you are looking to add artwork or song information to view on the bottom side of the CD, all you do is pull the black tray out, insert your artwork and then reinsert the black tray over it. Then, place the CD into the tray holder. I would rate these as good but wish the plastic were of a bit higher quality.

Not the best ever, but not priced like it either
I've bought over 200 of these from americopy thru Amazon in the last six months-they work perfect for my DVD-Audio burning projects. I've never had them come in anything less than tightly packed bubble wrap (and that was once); the rest of the time they came in cardboard boxes that are then boxed again by Amazon. Defect rate is around 2% which is well within expectations. The price using Prime with shipping is excellent-$12.99 for 25 with free shipping. It's geting impossible to find standard sized Jewel Cases in most office-stores, and if you do those are junk Memorex, and I will NEVER buy or use a product with that name on it again-ever since 20+years ago when one of their cassettes failed in my Nakamichi Dragon... These cases aren't 90's factory CD thick, but they work fine for 90% of expected uses.

Good product and value
I can't speak to some of the other (negative) reviews, but my experience w/ this product is positive. All arrived in tact, well-packaged and protected. This product is nearly identical to the case you get when you buy a new CD. I think that all of these are somewhat delicate by nature, but if handled properly (and not dropped), they work just fine. Most of the CDs I get from Amazon (both new and used) arrive with one of more of the cover hinges broken, so having a box of these as replacements works well for me.Overall, I think this is a good product at a good price.

and the trays are actually easy to remove
Typical quality of jewel cases these days (thin compared the 80s/90s cases). None arrived broken. They stay shut when closed, and the trays are actually easy to remove! -1 star because the trays DO NOT have the compact disc logo on them. From the look of the item pictured on the page I was expecting they would.

Clear CD Boxes.
These sturdy CD cases are better than the ones found in stores. I haven’t had any of mine break.

standard jewel cases, good value and reasonable quality
My jewel cases arrived in only a few days even using Amazon's free shipping service. They were well packed in bubble wrap. Only three out of twenty five arrived with cracks. They look exactly like the standard jewel cases that come with store bought CDs, except that the clear plastic seems slightly thinner and flimsier. Still, they work fine, and are such a good value that I don't mind replacing a few that may be cracked.

Kind of weak, but it is what it is.
I bought these after I ran out of the Memorex jewel cases I was using. They arrived wrapped in a plastic "belt" and in safe packaging without a problem. I just finished using all 25 today, and I was a little dissatisfied with how flimsy the pieces were. I had no major breaks as I was inserting the artwork, but the black piece was a little loose on the back half of the jewel case for about 10 out of the 25. The hinges for about half of them were weak as well, so upon opening, they would just fall apart. I suggest getting Memorex, or a more commercial brand of jewel cases for your professional DIY CD project.

Ignore the hate, these are good cases
I burn a lot of CD's for my church. We give anyone who wants a copy of the Pastor's sermon. These CD cases are great. Easily as good as any I have ever used and better than 90% of the cases out there. They are easy to open, but do not open by themselves. The CD's install easily and come out easily, but they do not fall out. Basically, everything about them just feels "right".None came broken in shipping. In fact, I have not seen one broken yet. These are simply good cases.

LUCKILY NO DAMAGE ...
You'd expect something that is rather fragile to be packaged properly, especially knowing Amazon's sometimes iffy methods at getting the goods to the buyer. It was a 25 pack and these weren't boxed, just shrink wrapped, and shoved in a plastic bag for delivery -- on Prime, of course, which I hadn't specified. They weren't 'handed over', but just dumped on the doorstep without my knowledge or any instructions to do so, and left unattended in teeming rain and a howling gale. They could even have blown away onto the road and got crushed, but by sheer luck, just the one case got cracked. I have complained to Amazon about this, but my words were 'restricted'. The cases do their job OK -- they are assembled, but a wee bit flimsy to the point where I fear breaking them whenever lifting out the black disc mounting panel to insert the back inlay. Average for their money, I suppose.

No substitute for the "proper" ones.
I was not originally intending to comment but since a review has been solicited by Dragon Trading here it is.Dragon's packaging in an unpadded close-fitting single-wall thin cardboard box was not Royal Mail-proof and one case was damaged and unusable on delivery. These cases are adequate for the purpose if you are not bothered about appearance and durability but are made from thin, flimsy and flexible material compared with the original-type "proper" cases which no-one seems to make any more. The grooved tray spines on about 2-3rds of my 25 cases had 4 large circular spots visible under oblique light; unsightly and an immediate giveaway that they arereplacements. In conclusion, I shan't be using these for any CDs which I specially value, and in the absence of any better alternatives shall continue to rely on recycled undamaged "proper" cases from charity shops (which can be made presentable by polishing with T-Cut if one has the patience).

I film many shows and pantomimes over the Year and these meet my high standard.
Quality fine,Service good,Delivery as promised and on time.Over the last 2 yrs I have used approx 200 of these and will go on doing so.I also used the double ones with great success and whilst they can scratch and crack if not stored correctly I have no complaints with the general quality.

Could be better protected in packaging
These jewel cases aren’t as robust as some, but they do the job. They are reasonably priced, which is good. However, there needs to be more protection in the packaging as three of the lot I ordered were broken (see photo). Otherwise all was fine.
