THE best sink strainer I've found.
These strainers are VERY strong, sturdy, and waaay more attractive than any strainer that comes with a purchased sink. They are super easy to clean and so nice to look at also (come on, if y'all do ANY amount of dishes like I do, you know you are looking at sink drains a lot, let's face it). These continue to remain shiny and rust-free with zero evidence of chipping over a long period of time (I purchased my first set somewhere around 2+ years ago), and am currently on set #2.They are a -tiny- bit on the pricy side, but that being said, they are also EXTREMELY sturdy, and I didn't mind ponying up for a second set after a single one mysteriously disappeared for several weeks and never showed back up. Boy child? Panning for gold in the back yard? Who knows. Life's little mysteries.Needing to empty these several times on a daily basis shows how many small food particles would otherwise get rinsed down the sink from dishes with a kiddo in the household, which is surely saving me in plumbing bills regardless.I love these little babies, they are one purchase I hope remains available for a long time to come, as I don't see myself ever becoming a millionaire, and I've never seen a product like this in stores. The one thing I would recommend as a small word of caution: you do need to handle them with care while emptying and/or cleaning them (and you should definitely clean them regularly because they get gross underneath!), as the edges are sharp enough to have provided me with at least one kinda nasty cut and a couple of minor ones in the 2+ years since I originally ordered the first set and discovered how careful I should be each time I removed them from sink drains. I'd imagine this is so they sit flush with the bottom of the sink, but still wish the manufacturer would come up with a safer design, as my child is old enough now to help with these kinds of chores, and not necessarily that careful. Nor do I wish to be 😂Still, it's a great product, and I'll buy some again the next time we somehow manage to lose the spare one AND another one. I just keep the regular drain plug around for when I need to plug up the basin for hand washing, but otherwise these live in the sink 24/7, and my sink is all the better for it, and that helps brings me peace of mind about my old plumbing, not to mention how much nicer it looks. It also smells better, since food particles aren't going down the drain and causing that gross sludge in the pipes that requires the regular and time consuming chore of The Cleaning Out Of The Sink Trap from beneath the cabinet, as well as a funk emanating from the area that makes you wonder if Oscar the Grouch from sesame Street has taken up residence in there. These do need to be cleaned regularly, but if you're a fairly clean person who keeps up and maintains your household so as to avoid maintenance surprises as much as possible, hopefully you are doing that anyway. This is easily accomplished by simply emptying the food particles out and using a bottle brush with dish soap to clean the front and back of these things on a regular basis, or you could just throw them in the dishwasher, which I do occasionally as well.To avoid the Oscar the Grouch Scenario, and having the pull out my back cleaning the sink trap out...I clean the area of the sink under these covers a couple times a week, I use a straw type brush or an old toothbrush and some dishwashing liquid to get down into those nooks and crannies in case anything is lurking in there, then rinse well with hot water, and finish with the usual baking soda and lemon juice to freshen things up. If necessary I sometimes finish off with a boiling water rinse, which gives me that extra piece of mind that the drain is nice and clear. With this routine I have had completely clearly running sink drains in the kitchen (in a 67 year old place) for over 2 years (knock on pipes!)I hope the manufacturer of these babies decides to pay me for this review somehow!! 😂 Or at least send me a couple of packs of these, in case they should somehow decide to stop carrying them on Amazon, because I want to always have them in my sinks, forever and ever amen. And for whatever it's worth, I think you should, too.

Great product
This is a great product - we use it on our bathroom tubs to block any hairs going into the drain. It works great and very easy to clean. Highly recommend this product.

Great quality
Great Product. Much better than the "window screen" type of kitchen sink basket strainers.

Drain saver
I know that this strainer saves a lot of food, etc. from going down the drain. The only negative I find is that it’s sometimes hard to get wet food bits out. This is a minor annoyance.

Flush with the sink
Sits flush with the sink and catches a lot of food & gunk. Not fun to clean as it catches food particles.I dump out the food and smack it on the trash can. Scrub it clean and good as new.I've had it a few months now and it's still shinny and new. New, right after it's cleaned of course.

Not fine enough to capture coffee grounds
I needed something to stop coffee grounds from getting down the drain and into my septic tank. This fit perfectly over my sink drain but was not fine enough to stop the coffee grounds.

Inappropriate description
Please save your money. it doesn't fit to my kitchen sink at all. I am totally disappointed that the sink strainer is not the same size that the description said.7cm is the whole diameter not the middle part. Sad.
