So much better since they stopped the hidden items...they were quite distracting.The images are single sided and on decent paper. Can use watercolour/neocolor with no issues..just don't waterlog the page!

Beautiful artwork, single sided pages, nice paper though the paper feels slightly thinner than earlier mythographic books still nice quality paper. Each image is contained in a lined frame.

Das Mythographic Magical Earth Malbuch ist ein sehr schönes und sehr detailreiches Malbuch. Die Motive sind durchweg sehr schön und laden dazu ein, in andere Welten abzutauchen.Durch die sehr detailreichen Zeichnungen eignet sich das Malbuch meiner Meinung nicht für Kinder. Elemente der Zeichnungen sind zum Teil sehr klein. Aber größere Kinder/ junge Erwachsene bzw Erwachsene werden ihre Freude an dem Buch haben.Die Seiten sind einseitig bedruckt, so dass man beim malen mit Markern keine Angst haben muss. Vorm evtl. durchbluten auf die nächste Seite schützt ein Blatt bzw. eine Folie. Das Papier ist nicht zu dünn und nicht glatt. Zum malen mit Buntstiften ist es gut geeignet.Jede Seite kann, dank Perforation, einzeln aus dem Buch heraus getrennt werden.Mir hat das Buch so gut gefallen, dass ich mir noch ein weiteres Malbuch gekauft habe.Es ist ideal, wenn man malen möchte, aber keine Lust hat, sich noch ein Motiv zu überlegen, vorzuzeichnen/skizzieren möchte, sondern gleich mit dem ausmalen loslegen möchte.

I love the Mythographic series apart from my pet peeve about the earlier ones - the random tennis racquets, shoes and frying pans ruining the illustration because the books included “hidden objects” . I spent more time trying to hide them.Well this one has none of them at all, just beautiful pictures to colour, with a gorgeous theme. Such a reprieve. Sigh of relief!!! I know there are others in the series without the hidden objects but I love the animal and earth theme in this book. Some pictures are very intricate and challenge my eyesight even with glasses. But I am persevering. Also the paper quality is nice and the pages are printed single side only, with a perforated edge if you want to remove a coloured page for framing.I have never coloured an entire colouring book before. I own over 60 colouring books (including 2 more from this artist), most of which only have a handful of coloured pictures.But with this one I am challenging myself to colour it from start to finish, in page order. It might take a few years but that’s my goal.I have included a picture of my work in progress from the very first picture in the book, it has taken about 8 hours so far, using Prismacolors, Posca paint pens and white gelly roll pen.I recommend this colouring book.
