Works on Verizon. Kinda.
So to start off I'm very fond of this phone so far. Have been using it for 3 days. I had a Nexus 6p that was starting to show it's age.So this phone doesn't have CDMA but does support band 13 LTE (the Verizon band). Thru much trial and error I figure out how to get full LTE data service on the xzs.1. Have a pre activated micro SIM (or cut down sim) from a previously activated phone on Verizon. I just took my sim out of the Nexus 6p. Install it into the xzs either sim card slot.2. Once the phone boots you may see it indicating service but no signal or something along those lines. Open the dialer and enter *#*#4636#*#* a secret menu pops up.3. Go under phone information. Change the preferred network type to LTE only.4. Reboot. You'll find you won't be able to make calls or send texts. For me this wasn't an issue because I use Google voice as my primary number. I installed Google Hangouts and make and receive all my calls and texts thru VoIP. The Xzs supports volte and so does Verizon. But I couldn't get it to work . I chatted with Verizon briefly online and they were pretty helpful but I never had any luck but i didn't put a ton of effort into it. You can try it. You may have noticed the voLTE switch in the secret menu. But it never would stay on for me.As for the actual phone it is very nice. Nice build quality. Fast. Waterproofing is great. Camera is pretty good, I especially like the dedicated hardware camera button. If your like me you might be concerned of rooting, custom roms, bloatware, and such things. As of right now there isn't much on XDA for the xzs in particular. It's unlockable from the factory and can be rooted with ease. The Xperia xz recovery works fine on the xzs as I suspect a lot of other mods do too. I have found the stock frimware to be very nice. Clean Android with a touch of sonys style. There was a few bloat apps. Like avg. But I disabled them and haven't seen them since.I bought this phone from Amazon wearhouse deals for $400. There was some crazy 20% prime discount applied at checkout from the $480. I'd say this was an excellent deal.

Excellent phone but I am having some issues regarding network and wifi
I am fan of Sony products and this one also is a premium sony product which I expected. However, I am experiencing some issues with network and wifi in my phone now and then, there is some noise in camera when exposed to sun light with green spot. All of these are not that big of an issue at all but still a drawback. Other than that, I was expecting to get access to some of the applications such as 3D creator which is not yet available on this device.

The Xperia XZs that I received is not a dual sim phone.
Overall the phone is good, but I was expecting it to be able to load dual sims as it is advertised. The one I received can only hold one nano sim, defeating the main purpose of my purchase.

Great specs, great performance... having SD card reading problems (no more!)
The phone is excellent, except for one part... it frequently gives an error when reading from the SD card especially when I'm attempting to take pictures. The workaround has been to place the phone back to standby and then reopen the [default] camera app. It sometimes takes up to two tries. If this "Error: SD card unavailable" error occurs too frequently, I'm going to send this back for a replacement under warranty. If something is occurring and I need a split-second to pull up the camera to take a picture/video so I don't miss it, a PREMIUM phone not performing in this manner can be a deal-breaker.Update 7/31/2017 - About half a month ago, there was an update from Sony with the OS. After that update, the "Error: SD card unavailable" issue has been resolved, which was the error message I receive when double-tapping the power button to pull up the camera. This was verified without changing the micro-SD card that I had used from the first day I used this device. I will gladly give this phone a 5 star now.

Great phone, deceptive item header in Amazon - don't assume it's international or US version
THERE ARE DIFFERENT MODEL NUMBERS FOR THE INTERNATIONAL VS THE U.S. VERSION OF THIS PHONE. Make sure you are buying what you want. The model number was not provided for in this listing. This phone was listed under the amazon main heading stating this was an unlocked phone with a US warranty. I've since learned that U.S. warranty simply means it was purchased in the U.S., NOT whether the handset is an international version or a US version, you have to check the model number. This is definitely NOT a U.S. version, Sony has confirmed this via model number (g8231=international; g8232=US), it arrived with Spanish language everywhere in the phone, I don't know that language but managed to find the setting to change the language. The biggest issue is it does not play nice with my carrier, T-mobile. I am working with Tmobile on this, they are trying to help. Secondarily, this handset is supposed to be new. Nothing leads me to believe it isn't (appeared to be in original packaging) other than the poor battery life, however, once I feel confident I've done all I can to improve battery life I will be able to conclude more and will update this to confirm or deny if applicable. Overall I love the actual phone, but if my SP can't resolve the issues, it's getting returned for a US version.
