Great pot, but not 1L
I don't know how they measure their sizes, but it will not hold 1 liter of water. I used 550 ml of water to make a pretty full pot. I can just add another 175ml without it overflowing. 350ml brings it to the halfway point and I am not going to push it. They must have smaller than standard American and European liters in China. It actually holds a maximum of 700ml not 1000ml. A whopping 300ml shy of claimed capacity. Not sellers fault as the box is marked as being 34oz/1000ml. Just be aware if you truly expect it to be a 1L teapot as advertised. Or somebody at the factory put a smaller pot in the box. However, the box was pretty full as it was and I don't see how a larger pot would fit in it. Maybe, the boxes are misprinted and nobody noticed they were printed for a larger size. Measuring to the brim the 1L advertised pot is 700 ml actual volume. Probably sold at a discount as the box is misprinted and the seller purchased them unaware or just advertised what was listed on the box as the capacity. Seller needs to amend the stated capacity to reflect the actual capacity of products advertised. I wanted a 700 ml pot and only ordered the 1L as a 700ml one was not offered. However, if the price reflects an actual 1L pot then they owe me a partial refund. Be aware and be warned. If you want a 700ml pot then order it as it is a nice teapot. I assume the 1.5L one may not be as advertised either. It may be the 1L one. As whole pallets of boxes probably got misprinted.

Excellent teapot, mate!
Keeps alot of hot water hot, when placed on a pad. Not to use on stove. Good quality stainless steel. Need the teapot full to capacity to use the loose tea strainer.

Cute but not as versatile as I was hoping for.
I thought I was going to be able use this one on the stovetop but then it arrived and didn't work. It was hot to touch when I poured water outside but didn't retain heat well. It is cute.

Benaloy teapot
I was born in California, but I am of British extraction, and so have drank tea for my entire life. It would be a vast understatement to say that tea is an important beverage to me! This pot makes wonderful tea! My only regret concerning this teapot is that I bought the smaller size. It comes in two sizes, and I wish that I’d bought the larger one!

It's made for a petite 5' woman.
The capacity is just right. Handle design is too small and very close to the pot. Angle of handle makes it difficult to lift. All stovetop cookware should have balance for easy lifting. The handle gets warm. The lid will burn you.I'm not even keeping this as a backup. I'm not trying to get injured.A nice electric tea kettle has a faster heating element and cool touch handles with built in infuser. And they are glass so you know when it's ready. This teapot works but don't expect it to be user friendly. It's built like something from the 1920s. So until I get a petite Asian wife I guess I'm sticking with an e kettle.
