I very rarely post reviews, but this one deserves my time. We purchased this in January of 2022 and my husband uses it every Friday when he works from home... so it has been used approx 174 times (thank you, ChatGPT!). It is a great little extension that he is able to quickly pull out and put away at the end of his workday. It reaches all the way across our house and he hasn't ever complained about computer slowness. Now, it does require some occasional maintenance... I'd say maybe once every 18 months, when he is unwinding the cable it gets bunched up. But I can get it working again in 7 minutes with the help of a screwdriver. There are 2 small screws holding the female port piece in place - remove those. You'll need something to then lift that round disk out - but you'll notice that it doesn't come out very far... that's okay and you honestly don't need it to. Just pull it out as far as you can and inside at the bottom you'll see a metal washer with a screw. Unscrew this (it's a SUPER long screw... huh, never thought I'd type that) and you'll find that the entire thing comes apart in two pieces. You'll probably see where the cable got hung up on itself, but rather than just fix it from there, I always completely unwind it and make sure that the cable gets all of it's twists out. Then I wind it back up around the reel, making sure that there aren't any twists along the way (this can be a pain, but I usually loop it around the reel a couple of times and then rotate the device itself to compensate for the twist that gets put into the line). Once it is all on the reel I put the two halves together. Getting the washer and screw back in is a little trickier; if your screwdriver is magnetic this will be a huge help. If it isn't, I have found that a refrigerator magnet can help. Once that's back in place you just screw the front disk back into place. Okay - I hope that this helps anybody that find their cord stuck.

I’d been looking for a retractable 50’ CAT6 cable for a while, expecting it to be easier to find. Needing an extension from my home office to my downstairs cable modem, I bought this product on impulse, but I’m happy with the results. It’s remarkably compact, easy to extend and reel in, and performs as well as expected. I would happily buy it again.

I can’t say enough great things about this purchase! I purchased this set to help make equipment set up and breakdown times quicker and easier when we are scheduled to appear in concert, which is quite often, so we’ve used this time and time again and it continues to work great for us. I use the small one to connect my laptop to the port on the long cable which is stretched out to connect to our music system. It works perfectly and makes my work so much easier. I especially love the flat cable to prevent people from tripping over it, and the retractable cables make equipment setup and breakdown go so much smoother and faster which is a huge plus! We can get it in and out of there in no time flat!

I tbink that this produts is pretty good but i dont like how the center ethernet port spins so you cant really connect it before pulling out however much you need. Other than that it works well and the cord is low profile

Easy cat 6 cord reel to use with starlink mini when you use a router with it. This 50’ reel is about the same length as the mini power cable, so you can have your mini away from the campsite and have solid signal in your camper with a router.

Great product. I use the ethernet a lot in the field and this retractable network cable is prefect. No more tangles or storing wires. Highly recommended.

These work great for our field service techs. They do ware out in a couple of years.

It's smaller than I expected and looks nice. I'd expected that the design and price were justified because the ethernet jack wouldn't rotate with the spindle - so it could be reeled and unreeled while still plugged in. This is not the case. As such it's not really got anything to offer over much cheaper cable spools.

Just need a temporary CAT5 cable, this is perfect. Occasionally I need to work from home and have to connect my work phone to the router - this is an ideal solution and is easy to store.

Soluzione perfetta per ottenere l'affidabilità e la velocità di trasferimento che solo il collegamento via cavo può dare. Il cavo è piatto, cosa che permette di farlo passare senza problemi sotto le porte. Viene inoltre data in dotazione una piccola prolunga, utilissima per fare il collegamento iniziale tra il router e la bobina stessa. Il prezzo non è molto economico, ma l'articolo vale assolutamente i soldi spesi.
