Definitely not midrise, more like between low & mid rise, closer to low rise though for sure. Wanted to cover my under belly pooch, it's just low enough to have it spill over the top. If i pull them up even the slightest bit higher then they give me a front wedgie!😵‍💫

Thank you Maui Rippers!! Surfers/beach goers look no further! These shorts won’t let you down, or go down as your ripp’n! Your arse cheeks won’t be hanging out either. Just short of being to short but enough to show your tanned legs leaving a bit to onlookers imagination. Washing’m out anywhere, anytime your gonna be stoked how quickly they dry. Do wish had more pockets on each side with Velcro closer to stash belongings when your done in the water, though. I’d be adding more of these to wardrobe if there was a larger color selection. Hint,,, hint,, Maui Rippers..!

The sizing for these is a little off. Some other reviewers said to order a size up, so I wanted to order a ten, but they only have up to size 8. Size 8 in pants is snug, so I thought for sure they would be a little tight. Nope! They're big! I haven't fit in a size 6 for years.Other than that, the shorts seem awesome. The fabric is super comfortable, and the perfect amount of stretchy. The tie could be a little more heavy duty - it's just a stretchy, flat-shoelace type of string that doesn't seem too strong. The length seems perfect for my style - not a bikini, but not halfway down to the knees either. Only a swim will tell if they bunch up like my previous shorts do, and if they are comfortable in water.

These shorts are super comfortable and the elastic waist fits just right. I wear them mostly around the house and also when I go surfing. The print is super cute too, I may buy these for my surfer friends for xmas

Ordered a size medium, but shorts are huge. I actually ordered two different pairs of board shorts from this shop in the same size. The other pair fits fine. There is a nearly 2 inch difference in the waist size. Now I have to return them, but the shop charges a return fee. I don’t think I’ve ever had to pay return fees on Amazon. I find that frustrating, I won’t lie. One of the main reasons I shop on Amazon are the easy free returns. I doubt I’d be ordering from this shop again.
