Easy-ish install. Just pay attention to the instructions.
I have this product installed in a kitchen/breakfast area. The area is about 300ftsq so I have it divided into 2 zones (2 thermostats). 2 key points are to be sure you use the correct mortar for bedding the mat and for setting the tile. It calls for unmodified mortar for the tile, which is a money saver as its usually the least expensive mortar. Some mfg have brought out “membrane” mortar, which is what I used (mapei). Keep the mats lined up to make the cable install easy. And watch the wire spacing. More than once I had to pull up and re-route the wire because I didn’t pay attanetion to the spacing recommendation (amazing how well it worked when I read the instructions). Wiring was simple once I ran the 2 dedicated circuits to the thermostats. I waited 7 days before starting the system and then no problems. It takes a little trial to set the correct temp for the floor as to not be too hot and overheat the room.

For electrical floor heating cables there’s nothing better.
Is this Matt a little more expensive? Yes.Is it worth it, and time saving and materials? Yes.If you’re putting heat under a tile floor there is no better way to go. Simple fast easy saves time and money.
