Fender Telecaster Control Plate

For perfect when others didn’t. This is why you use genuine parts!

Bought this so I could upgrade the electronics (which failed after only three weeks of use) in my Squier Classic Vibe 50's Telecaster. It fit nearly perfectly. Things to understand for this use: This plate is a little thinner than the Squier part, but it does fit and trust me, no one's looking at your Squier so close that they will know the difference. The screw holes for the three-way switch are not recessed, so if that will bother you buy new screws for the switch or buy a different switch. I don't care that the screw heads are sticking up a bit. Again, it's a Squier and I'm not playing the Super Bowl halftime show, no one cares. This plate works and now I have an upgraded and once again functional guitar.

Perfect fit on the body and for the components. Perfect function. Looks great and does the job it is intended to.

Well made and polished steel plate. Made in Korea nowadays but is a genuine Fender part. Good price and fast shipping with Amazon.

For Fender prices, I would expect better quality. His plate is OK, but it’s no jewelry.

Classic fender quality

Three divots or dings Right on the outside of the plate near the tone knob. Not the sellers fault, I guess you get what you get from fender these days, especially with their minimalist stapled plastic bag packaging. I have better looking ones on some of my own used guitars. I will just grab one of those and exchange it for this one, and go on with my life. If it didn't matter to me I would just install it, but this time it does. It's going on a Swamp Ash scratch build with nitro lacquer, fully flamed maple neck with rosewood fretboard, and all the goodies to make it look like a new vintage guitar. Sorry, not going to work for that. This is the first damaged one of these I've ever received, so my usual luck holds true. Also I remember these being a lot thicker. Now they're like .05 thick and they used to be nearly a 16th inch thick at the least, and decent metal that resists bending. Now it's like they're made of thick foil and can easily be bent without trying. I ordered one from WD music that is rumored to be thicker so we'll see when it gets here.

Bought this to replace a badly scratched plate on a Squier Telecaster Guitar. Sorry I did not checked the thickness of this part , it looks original for the model .

Not much to say really... attach switch and pots’ to control plate and affix to guitar, it does the job... better quality than cheaper versions.
