simple, drippless, just good enough

I've tried quite a few brands of Shabbat candles, these are my favorite so far. LOVE the 4 hr+ burn vs 3 for longer Winter evenings PLUS these don't smell when they burn like one awful brand I had....I need to do a review on those if I haven't). I realized that it would be nice to have different lengths of time for different seasons: long burning for Winter's early sunsets & short ones for Summer's late sunsets. 6 hr ones are available, too. Another plus is that there's essentially nothing left of the candle after it burns which means I can stick another candle in without changing cups or cleaning them out; at least 5 times so far. Using quality candles for Shabbat gives me a nice feeling.

Love the look and quality of these candles. They burn cleanly for the most part. The only time they've dripped wax is if they're left burning under a vent or the ceiling fan, the air flow causes flickering and dripping, but otherwise they're wonderful.

I am happy with most things I get from Amazon, but these are not dripless, so I could not use. Gave them to someone who didn't care. I should have sent them back for a refund.

I am glad that other customers had no drippings, but we had an enormous amount of wax drip from two adjacent candles--in the traditional configuration, but not so close that each candle might overheat its neighbor. The separation was, greater than the recommended 3 inches. EVEN THE BOX WARNS US TO HAVE A LARGE ENOUGH RECEPTACLE "TO CONTAIN ANY MELTED WAX" --a significant warning and the manufacturer's admission to anticipate dripping!

These are great Shabbat Candles and the only ones I will ever buy. They don't drip and last for either 4 or 5 hours depending on the size you purchase.
