We have not yet put together the puzzle but have handled it. It looks well manufactured and its the first wooden piece puzzle that I've had.

The puzzle itself is well made. Image is a bit on the dark side as in there is a lot of pieces that are just black. However, the but bit. One of the pieces was broken, this makes the finish puzzle ugly as the piece that is broken very noticeable.

I'd like to give the puzzle full five stars for its quality and precision, but overly subtle edge variation introduces fake difficulty to be overcome by backside registration pattern that really dilutes the scale of the puzzle.The precision cut wood substrate is very durable, and pieces are cut crisply and fit tightly... often as tightly mismatched as matched. Variation of interlocking sides is often extremely subtle; in featureless or gradually shaded regions it can be impossible to tell whether a piece really fits just by looking at edges and image faces.The back of the puzzle is marked by a repeating pattern of letters in eight regions A-H. Mismatched or truly matching pieces can be detected by continuity of that pattern across the mating edges. In feature-poor areas (e.g. gradual shading) that is too often the *only* way to tell whether tight-fitting pieces are correctly placed.Don't be surprised to end up sorting the pieces by region letters on their backs, effectively working eight puzzles of 125 pieces rather than one of 1000. My puzzle (subtly shaded in several areas) had at least a half-dozen places where apparently an apparently well-fitting piece belonged somewhere else, discovered much later when another piece (that should have been placed where the first one was) cannot possibly fit any remaining space.My puzzle included not only a missing piece warranty, but also two extra edge pieces. Their very slightly shiftedimage matched well enough on one side but not the other. By coincidence I placed the wrong pieces first, and wasted hours trying to place the two right pieces and find two nonexistent pieces to match length on the opposite side. Understandable, and better than missing parts... but supremely frustrating to figure out.

I received this in June, was unable to return because I was in an accident. Quite disappointed with the quality of the poster and many pieces were frayed to the point of being white on the ends. It would have been a lovely addition to my dragon collection but is in such poor quality as a puzzle and the poster is disapointing.
