… I read in one day, because I couldn’t put the book down! (and this for a foreign language book, since English is not my mother tongue) What a great novel, what a superb, perfect novel by all means! I enjoyed reading the unfolding story from the first to the last page, absolutely devouring it! Well done; really, perfectly well done! - An absolute masterpiece! Thank you very much to author Sarah Goodwin for such a great novel! This sunday reading was a day totally worth it & well spent! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🤩👌🏼

Excellent condition

I want to say that I really enjoyed this book. Right until the end, which sadly let it down for me. It felt a but rushed, as if it all needed a swift conclusion. However, it was just too crammed into the last few pages with no conclusion that matched the pace of the rest of the story. Shame really. I felt a bit let down.

One of the best books I've read this year. Lets be honest. There's a lot of books out there with great reviews that aren't that great. This isn't one of them. This is one that you can't wait to get reading, because you are dying to find out what happens next.

Stranded is a story based upon Survivor. Eight contestants were selected to live on an island for a year to see how life developed. However there’s a hitch…no one comes to pick them up for another 6 months and then one is left behind. It’s a story of individuals and power. Does everyone work together for the common good or is there mob rule under the control of one? This was a book club selection that stimulated a lively discussion. For me it was a bit reminiscent of Station Eleven where people were left to their own devices post apocalyptic disaster with no repercussions for decisions made and actions taken. The world building and character development is slow and methodical to where those on the fringe made the decision to just go along rather than offer suggestions or oppose the informal leader. The island also had stories of strange and mysterious things happening, of course it did. What would you do to survive? An interesting premise. The story is told in an interview style and we know there was at least one survivor. Stranded poses an Interesting concept and is a real page turner with social and psychological implications.
