I got this to help me see who walks up behind me at my cubicle at work. It works great. I put some fake plant greenery in it. I think it looks nice and serves the intended purpose.

I bought this for my desk so I can see people coming up behind me. The item is too small and convex to be of any real use. The reflections of people are so small that most of the time I don't notice them. Practicality aside, I do like the overall look, and it is reflective inside and out.

Good size to hold pens and markers at my desk. Looks like a cute holder. But it serves its true purpose of reflecting a large view of the room behind me - as my computer monitor is visible to anyone who sneaks up behind me. Now I see them coming.

It is a glass ball to be used as a mirror for the office. It has some Horizon lines in the glass that do not give a smooth appearance when you look at it around the midline of the ball. There is no adhesion of the ball to the desk (not that I needed or wanted that, but the review included this as a factor... Not sure why). The glass adheres to the sphere well. It's not great but works as a mirror well enough. Made in China. Poor overall construction, bulky shipping with styrofoam to protect this fragile item. It can hold your items on your desk and give you a mirror to see behind you. It's ok. Not great, but not terrible.

I ended up giving it to staff at our receptionist desk because it served their need better than mine. And it served their need perfectly because they love it.But I decided, in hindsight, that my personal need would be better served by a simple convex mirror because I need a view of one direction and not my entire surroundings as would a receptionist desk where customers approach from every direction.It is also suited for a receptionist desk because it is decorative and beautiful rather than having the appearance of a surveillance device, even though the latter is what it is.And the price is right. The merchant could have justified charging $40 or more. But, they only charge $16.Ignore customer reviews that are negative. Because criticism does not mean the item is inferior just because it does not satisfy their specific need. Negative reviews only mean this item was never intended for their specific need.

I bought one big and one small together, both of them were made in glass. Here are defects of them: 1. their surface are not perfect sphere but have reflection distorted zones in the waist region, which will affect observing eye level objects.2. Both of them have reflecting materials layered inside, without protections. Both of them have some small defects (got peered off and be transparent) at box opening.I am not confident they could last long if pens or sharp things keep scratching inside when in daily usage.
