I opened the packaging and plugged the photo frame in and followed the instructions on the screen. This photo frame is like a simplified tablet (it does run on andriod), with the the screen functioning as the touch screen. I named my photo frame, connected it to my Wi-Fi, downloaded the "frameo" app from google play, and added my cell phone as a friend on the photo frame (using a code generated by the picture frame). After allowing permissions for the "frameo" app to access photos on my phone it is very simple to send the photos to my picture frame. During the send process, there is an option to add a caption for the photo. On the frame, in the settings menu, I quickly found the setting to turn the captions on or off. When sending the photo, you are also able to select the part of the photo that is the area of main interest, which allow for auto cropping as needed for the photo to fit the frame without cutting out the area that you most want to see. This frame will also automatically change from portrait to landscape mode depending upon the orientation of the photo frame.Overall, the photo frame looks classy. The reds and oranges are slightly less intense on the photo frame screen than on my cell phone screen, I did not compare them with my computer or a print, so I am not sure which screen is calibrated a little bit differently. The photos are sharp, and it gives the appearance of a photo in a frame rather than a digital screen. The actual photo size is about 8.5" by 5.5" surrounded by a white matt and then the photo frame (I have the black wood frame). I currently have my frame set up to change pictures every 1 minute, but this setting is adjustable in the settings on the frame. Other settings include volume settings for video clips, brightness, and sleep settings. To delete one or more photos, just go into the settings menu and select "manage photos".This photo frame may be hung on a wall, but also comes with 2 different length "legs" that work to prop it on a table top or desktop. It comes with an AC adapter that plugs into a regular household outlet.I am pleased with this digital photo frame. I have been considering purchasing a digital photo frame for some time, and this one fits my current needs. I chose this particular photo frame because I liked the style, it appears more like a traditional photo frame, and the price is reasonable. If you are wanting a large photo frame with multiple options for tweaking the colors and screen resolution, than this frame is not for you, but if you are an average home user, this would be a good choice. This also would make a great gift for a family member, you could add additional family members as friends, and they could all send pictures to this frame, even when they are traveling.For full disclosure, I the seller has offered to refund the cost of this smart photo frame in exchange for a review.

I got the 8inch as a gift for my mom who lives far from us. I had it shipped to me first where I unpackaged it, installed the app and photos I wanted on it, repackaged, and shipped it to her. It was fairly easy for her to set up (with some help) and she turned it on and started (happy crying). With the app, I can add photos anytime to her frame as a surprise (as long as she has the frame on/connected to wifi). It was the gift that keeps giving.

Got this as gift for my parents to see pictures and video of their grandson. They absolutely love it! I love that they can react to the images with an emoji and that frameo notifies me that they have sent it. Perfect gift and does exactly what I wanted. Highly recommend. Easy to use and a perfect gift!

Bought this to hang and it’s not able to do this. Sending back and ordered the 10” and it is able to wall mount. Miss leading advertising. Other than that it’s easy to use, a bit difficult to getting it start.

It's really cool. I bought it for my dad so he can see pictures of his granddaughter as she grows. It was easy to set up, I had issues with adjusting the pictures, but that was totally user error. I'm a new mom on little sleep. The wood was nice and smooth. Even the baby liked it

Got this for my wife for Christmas and she absolutely loves it. holds a lot of pictures and the display is clear and colorful.

Pros: Decent picture quality. Functions, sort of.The frame is designed to work with an app to receive emailed images from you contacts. For some reason. No way to email pictures to yourself, or connect with your main computer's digital archives. Not sure if designer realizes there even are grown-up computers, as opposed to ubiquitous mobile platforms.I wanted to do a slide show of my own gallery. To do that, i had to load the images onto a micro SD card ("WARNING! SD Card removed in a dangerous manner!") AND you must clear on board memory or transfer library all to onboard, or it will default away from card, despite settings. And import from card moved only 8 images and stopped. Enough to prevent showing from card, but no indication what was the problem. Sometimes freezes and won't advance slides.Probably best for teens who think social media is computing and have excess money.Would not use for photos you might not want public. Way more connected than it needs to be, and not very functional. Did not try audio and video, but supposedly those are options.
