A must-buy if you have EPB
I usually do not write reviews. This is a very good router if you get one that is brand new. Previously owned the AC 1200 and it literally ran 20 devices simultaneously. The thing is to get the best out of the router is get your own Cat6 or cat7 RJ45 do not use the one that comes with it it will work but not as good. When you plug the router up type in 192. 168. 2.1 that is for all Belkin routers it takes you to the dashboard. When you're all set up you can do it by telephone smartphone type the number in it will pull up your particular router then it comes from the factory on a lower frequency so to get the max frequency and speed this is what you do. On the 2.4 band it will Beyond default 20hz which that is range and is set to G band. Click advanced settings and you can change it to 20 and 40 Hertz and put it on a / g / n so now you have more distance and faster speed. This is the best part and why I got this router. On the 5 gigahertz normally would be shorter distance stronger signal it comes default set to 20 and 40 Hertz. Click on advanced settings and change it to 20/40 and 80 Hertz. There's no reason why you should not change it to the 80 because it gives you more range on the strongest band. Then you can put it on a /b/g/n/ac default it is set on I believe just n/ac and those two are the fastest but you can put it on all of them. Want you to change the 2.4 to the 20 40 Hertz and the 5 band to the 20 40 and 80 Hertz you will notice it will give you almost double coverage in your house. I personally get coverage in a 2500 square foot home plus almost 250 to 300 ft away I can connect to my 5 gigahertz band. If you use the default settings it will still be good but half the range. Also my Belkin AC 1200 I used for 7 years and it has never given me a problem. I am very tech-savvy and when it comes to Belkin products you have to get them brand new not refurbished in order for them to work properly but once you set it up correctly you will never go back to spending $200 on a other router. Also do not turn on intellistream unless you literally only have a 10 megabyte per second service. I hope this helps I have been using Belkin for years. You can really push them also I have ran up to 22 devices on my AC 1200 with no glitches and that's with four 4K HDR 55 inch TVs connected in streaming Netflix without any buffer. Also very last thing never put your TV on the 2.4 band always put it on the 5 band. Anything like a television or Playstation needs to be on the five your phone can be on the 2.4 or 5 but some phones do not support the five. If the 5 does not show up on your phone it's not the router it's your phone. I hope this is helpful

Inexpensive, stable and fast router with great coverage -- supports IPv6 and has a stable AP mode...
Update:I was having issues with signal strength and stability on my old router, and since the unit offered an AP mode I decided to try it (after trying unsuccessfully with several other brands). While like many routers the advanced options are not easy to find, the only thing that seems to really be missing is a truly flexible netmask (it is limited to class C[255.255.255.0] or less). The signal strength is good though not as strong as newer routers; however, it makes up for this with stability and compatibility.I was able to connect varying brands of WiFi extenders of old (802.11n) and new (802.11ac) which did not disconnect -- even over several days. This is a feat that I have been unable to do with stock routers from Tenda, TP-Link, and several others. After re-balancing my WiFi signals to compensate for neighboring homes, I was able to make my signals much more stable and to increase the available bandwidth of each. With three extenders and a media hub attached to the 5ghz 802.11ac channel, the speedtest.net throughput showed over 30Mbps on each of two attached extenders while streaming HD video on the attached hub. Also, this time the default network was set to 192.168.2.0 as opposed to the 10.0.0.0 network on my previous installation. While not the latest technology, this is Belkin's top of the line and it works well and it is inexpensive. I may add another one to see if this improves my network speed and latency on extenders. I believe this router is a well-kept secret and it is also verify compatible and stable - as is the signal it puts out. It has scheduled automatic reboot for those currently using a timer or suffering power issues.---I purchased this for my grandmother as her old router was getting old and flakey. Surprisingly, the new router seemed to have the same internet issues though the signal strength and coverage was much improved and it now also supported 5Ghz and AC. On Spectrum (formerly TWC), it seems that now there is an issue with using the 10.0.0.0 subnets which seems to be the default on the Belkin brand (which is also what I replaced). After changing the default LAN IP to 192.168.4.1 and the DNS to 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1, everything worked better and faster than before. Interestingly, this router supports IPv6 where the AC1750DB at my mother's place does not. This is a fantastic and simple-to-configure, no-frills router. If you have no need for advanced IT features and your house is not large enough to require MESH, then this is the router for you. For the rest, stay tuned.

Fast, with a very strong signal
I had been using the older Belkin high-speed router, the AC750, for about 2 years, and although it worked fine, the signal on that older router was too weak to make it to my far bedroom, so I had to add a range extender to boost the signal. That range extender kept losing the signal and slowed down the entire system. But with this new AC1900, not only do I get almost double the speed on both my wi-fi and wired ports, the signal is now so much stronger that I was able to get rid of the range extender, and just have this one router (in the same exact location as the old router). The signal strength in the far bedroom now is a full "five bars", as though the router were in the same room. I purchased this AC1900 two months ago, and it has been solid the whole time - no dropouts or weak signals. I'm now getting the full 180 Mbps from my service provider that my older router capped at just 90 Mbps. I didn't even realize how much speed I was missing out on with the old AC750. And I don't have to deal with resetting the old, flaky range extender every day -- because that thing is gone! One less device to manage, and much more speed. I also like the look of the Belkin routers, with the antennas hidden inside. Very good looking, sleek product design. I have a couple of devices that can take advantage of the dual band capability, so that's also a nice feature (both 2.4 & 5 GHz). The 5GHz band has been just as solid as the 2.4GHz. There is definitely less interference on the 5 GHz band (I'm in a building with 24 apartments and lots of routers). I think this router will take care of my needs for quite a while. A great product in this speed/price range - anything faster would be double the price or more.
