AccuMed Face Mask, Protective Face Mask (10-count)

**Upgraded review, My technique for the stapled area, and Accumed took care of my issues****03/18/21** I'm ordering my third pack, why? Because I can't find one that fits me as good. I've ordered other masks which were FDA approved EUA masks, they are beautifully crafted but the internal plastic nose piece slips and slides, causing a bad seal unless constantly pinching the nose.Accumed;The staples; horrible design yes, but it presses against your face tightly that it doesn't appear to leak. Why take chances is my thought, so I bought clear latex bandages from Nexcare, snip the ends off, and put the material over the staples as an added seal incase any pinholes exist or get worse due to stressing the ear loops. Be mindful to get something super thin and with a strong adhesive. Non-Porous medical grade tape would probably work fine, you only need a section about 1/4"x1/4" to cover the staple.I use the masks for a week, I make sure they are hung to dry every night and toss them every Friday.Another thing you'll want to do is let them air out a bit, the rubber band can become a bit nauseating but it'll go away regardless.**Old review, still relevant, but see above for why I changed to a 4 star**I really wanted to like these, they fit great. However, they are stapled, and you can clearly see a pin hole near the staple area. The smell is nauseating from the latex/rubber on the ear loops.If these were glued with cotton/fabric ear loops they would be the best KN95 I've tried.

The packaging for these masks is excellent. A sealed bag that must be cut open then it can be resealed like a ziplock bag. Each mask is also in a package individually. Im a big guy and the masks fit well. The masks are fairly thick but not as thick as another brand that I have tried and have a little more confidence in. The mask straps are attached by a staple that goes all the way through the mask??? I agree with one of the other reviewers some of the wording on the bag is a little worrisome. I will quote the wording directly. " It is not suitable to use this mask when concentration of pollutants is high to endanger life or health." The other wording on the package that stands out as pointed out by one of the other reviewers states. "This mask helps prevent against certain contaminants. It may not eliminate the risk of contracting disease or infection." With that being said I dont know any mask that guarantees it will eliminate the risk of disease or infection. My big concern is the staples. I feel a little worried about that. The package clearly states these masks are kn95 masks. A certification slip is inside the package as well. They fit me well, and feel comfortable, but the wording on the package and staples have me a little concerned. I don't have enough confidence for these two reasons to go sit in a crowded room with a bunch of strangers. Running errands the grocery store etc I'm ok with.

These were the best facemasks I've ever come across. Unfortunately the seller no longer carries them. I've been trying to reorder for over a year and they've been out of stock. I really hate it.I tried others from another company and not only are they not as thick and heavy but the nose piece doesn't fit well at all. I guess it will be trial and error again.When it mentions 6 layers believe it. These things are thick, so far the thickest and heaviest I've found. They don't stick against my face. When I breathe it barely moves with my air and the fit is perfection! I ran out and regret not ordering more.When I initially got them the mask mandates were still in order and much like some other people I wore two layers... a KN95 and a cloth mask with a pocket for a filter. Yes, I overdid it but better safe than sorry. These masks are so thick and fit so well that I had a bit of a hard time breathing through the material with the cloth masks worn over them and eventually just got rid of the cloth masks.Even though they've discontinued the face mask order I planned on continuing to wear them due to my underlying health conditions.I intended on ordering more but alas I missed out. They have black ones but they're only 3 layers not 6 and I already have 3 layers. They're useless.Maybe I'll try Googling them to see if I can't find them elsewhere.

While not as comfortable as some other face masks, these seem to offer a tighter and better protection than some of the other masks we tried. This is what I wear when traveling on flights.

I have a full long face and this mask is perfect for that.. I found the seal not to be perfect, however, it does serve well when working and interacting with others wearing a mask. I ran it through a bag test and did not smell the solutions right away. So, I would recommend for the everyday wearer because of quality, but not in a hospital setting being exposed to COVID patients during 12-hour shifts. However, it is one of the most comfortable masks that I have worn during this pandemic. And the rubberbands are an excellent idea! Just be sure not to wear any oils when wearing this masks due to rubber bands weak durability to oils.

I like the thickness and comfort of this mask. The cone shaped front allows for breathability and keeps me from breathing in the mask when I speak (which is what happens with the cloth and thin surgical masks).The only thing that is problematic for me is that I have an extremely narrow face and so the mask slips just a little bit requiring me to touch the mask occasionally to assure it is over the bridge of my nose. But overall excellent masks. I like that they are packaged individually. I keep an extra in my car and in my desk at work.I use these masks for grocery shopping and entering doctors offices during Covid times. However, they were quite useful in the recent California fires.
