RoboGeisha [Blu-ray]

I'll start this off by saying that this movie is absolutely ridiculous! And I also have to say that I mean this in the best possible way! I have brought this movie to watch with several different groups of friends and it's a hit each time. It's a perfect blend of action, humor, gore, and craziness! One sister hates the other and keeps getting cybernetic upgrades to outdo the other. The other sister loves her and just wants her approval. One insane choice after another leads to assassinations and nonstop action culminating in one of the weirdest finales I think I've ever seen in a movie. You have to give this a try. You won't regret it!

Blew me away, total fun. Gorey, gross, violent, humorous and entertaining. Loved it.

Fun film .. Super straight to the point with the plot..

It's a Japanese B movie. The acting ain't the greatest, but you're not here for the acting. You are here for the spectacle. This movie delivers! Go with the American dub. Trust me, it's a treat.

This is a second runner up from Cutie Honey for being ridiculously entertaining. It is Manga/Anime Live-Action at it's prime. As I said in the Cutie Honey review, I'm not really much of an Anime/Manga buff, but I was thoroughly entertained the whole time. This is a psycho-sicko-delica-imagination-trip!

ok this movie is so crazy and awesomely ridiculous. I pretty much make people watch this movie now. all thats missing from this movie is and underwater outter space battle and yes is this movie that could be at the same time. Just buy it and get a few friends over for it. you will not regret it.

This is the best movie in all of existence. I found it on a list of Japanese cult classics and it did not disappoint. If you're the kind of person who loves bad movies this is the one for you.

please if you are going to buy this know what you are getting into. Its not for everyone. Its a fun watch. I feel like the engish dub adds a joke of its own. Its not horrible. I prefer to watch it in Japanese.

Robogeisha is the touching story of some geishas that just also happen to be robots. With a sweet plot trailing their reasons for abandoning the weak human flesh for steel beauty, Robogeisha is heartwarming and inspiring. I bought this movie very much in the expectation that this would be about geishas and about robots in some kind of mix - I was not disappointed. The plot is seemingly there so that it can string together a series of increasingly bizarre fight scenes involving bum-shuriken, armpit swords, castles that punch buildings to death, and fried shrimp - but it manages to pull this off with quite endearing charm. If you're looking for deep, thought-provoking plots and a dissection of the issues we as a society face with moving towards technological dependence for social acceptance or a treatise into the human condition under increased cyborgisation then this may very well disappoint, however if you're the kind of person who buys a movie called Robogeisha looking for such a thing then you may very well need to re-evaluate your life.

Questo movie nel 2011 e`stato definito da molti il film piu`brutto dell`anno,una volta appreso la notizia andai a vedere il trailer e decisi di acquistarlo. Perche`?ho una piccola passione per il genere "splatter" e poi capii dal trailer che bisognava vedere fino a quanto si spingesse il livello di assurdita`.Questo D.V.D. propone solamente la lingua audio originale(giapponese)e solo sottotitoli in inglese;ma il problema non sussiste visto i dialoghi semplici e mancanza di trama.Se volete farvi una serata tra amici veramente diversa per conoscere il genere "splatter" allora cliccate "aggiungi nel carello".Importante,bambini e persone suscettibili mandateli a vedere "c`e`posta per te".

Wie bei so vielen Iguchi-Filmen auch, fragt man sich: Was für Drogencocktails nimmt der Mann? Aber genau das macht diese Werke für Liebhaber jap. B- bis Z- sowie außerhalb des lat. Alphabets liegende-Filme (was meint ihr, wozu die Jap. so viele Schriftzeichen brauchen :-) ) so sehenswert. Schaut euch den Film an und ihr werdet frittierte Shrimps mit ganz anderen Augen sehen! (Kapiert? Wenn nicht, dann habt ihr den Film noch nicht gesehen). Vorschlag an nitro: Zeigt den Film im Rahmen der Schlefaz-Reihe und erhebt das Glas, wann immer sich eines der im Trailer angekündigten absolut abartigen, abschreckenden, absurden, albernen, allerdings aber auch atemberaubend abenteuerlichen Asia-Movie-Ereignisse zuträgt. Prost!
