Versatile and Built to Last!
The DeWalt Pivoting Impact Driver Tip is a game-changer for tight spaces and awkward angles. The pivoting head works flawlessly, giving you flexibility without sacrificing torque or control. It feels solid and well-engineered—typical DeWalt quality—and locks securely in both straight and angled positions. I’ve used it on several projects, and it handles high-impact applications with ease. No slipping, no wobble, and the bit retention is excellent. For anyone who works in cabinetry, automotive, or any job where space is limited, this tool is a must-have. Plus, the price is very reasonable for the durability and convenience it offers. Highly recommended for professionals and DIYers alike!

So far, so good. No luck with Chinese made ones.
Tried several no name Chinese ones. No luck, they broke with impact driver. Jury still out on DeWalt brand (probably also made in China) but so far so good. A little hard to move sliding sleeve to allow using at an angle and removing bit but other than that, no problems.

Difficult to Remove Bit from Extension
Extension functions as designed. Not a big fan of using it in the angke setting. It’s too easy to change the extension from straight to angle. It will occasionally do it during use which is a minor inconvenience. It is difficult to remove the bit from the extension. About half the time, I had to use a pair of pliers to remove the bit. It’s good that it holds the bit so well, buts It’s just another minor inconvenience.

STRONG magnet!!!
I used to work with this Brazilian guy at a hotel a couple of years ago. The Hospitality industry is interesting because there are new faces to greet and see everyday. I think that is probably the strongest thing going for the Hospitality careers of the world: the oppotunity to work with new folks all of the time. Anyway, back to this Brazilian guy. Whenever a pretty lady would walk in the door of the hotel(think, downtown Chicago), or come out of the elevators, he would try to get our attention in an inconspicous way if he approved. His code word was 'Strong' to remark that he found the woman attractive. Therefore, at first glance of a pretty woman, in his opinion, and after review, if he found her to be a lovely woman, he would say, "She's 'strong'.". How does that relate to this drill bit holder that pivots? It doesn't at all. Anyway, I first used this bit tip holder this past week, for the first time and was greatly impressed. I think the most sellable feature of the unit is the strenth of the magnet. The magneticism of the tip when a loose screw is nearby works to perfection. I was trying to attach a power surge to a wall (to save space and organize) and hang a it's cord and attach it to a with a few clamps, but I had to reach to get to the wall. The task was nothing at all with this magnetic drill bit tip holder. I am convinced. My task was made wayyyyyyy easier than I planned and anticipated for. This is a fantastic buy and a great product by DeWalt. I am so glad that I picked this up. I still haven't had occasion to use the pivoting feature, but I know I will soon. This is absolutely a product I would recommend to others that have considered picking it up for their arsenal of tools.

Must have in your toolbox
This is a must have in your house, it really will get you out of trouble for tight assembly areas. I will probably buy more. Design is solid, it locks very well and pretty cheap for what it is, I just wish it was slightly shorter.

it's good but...
Well, the ability to use your drill when you can't get direct in-line access to what your working on really is useful. Couple this with an extension bit and it becomes even more useful. Having said that, it does have one niggly drawback. There's a locking ring on the tip that basically grabs onto any drill or driver bit that you insert and won't let go literally. In fact its necessary to use pliers to separate them. I guess this is sensible from the point of view that you really don't want your drill or driver bit wobbling during use especially given that the motive source is offset... but did they have to make it grab on so tight? The effect is even worse for some bits which have a notch midway up the barrel. As already noted, its possible to use driver bits or drill bits with the correct end on them. Both work well.

Works well BUT VERY HARD TO CHANGE BITS.
It works well as a pivoting driver BUT...changing bits in ridiculously difficult. There is a locking ring inside the bit holder that makes it necessary to use pliers to change bits. Seems silly because there is a magnet inside the holder that does just fine to hold bits in place. SOLUTION: I used an awl to remove the ring from inside the bit holder. Now it's super easy to do a quick bit change and the magnet holds the bits in place until you want to change it. I really think Dewalt should modify this product to make it easier to use.

Needed tool to reach odd angle fasteners
Great solution for using bits when little space is available or fasteners are at odd angles. Appears well-made and should last. I agree with some comments that the bits can be difficult to remove, I use pliers to swap bits - but accept the benefit the bits won’t fall out when using.
