This topper is as advertised and is comfortable. After opening the foam expanded relatively quickly for how tightly it was packed. There was a slight odor when opened, however, it dissipated pretty quickly. We have a newer king size mattress that was harder than my wife liked. Topper was actually slightly longer than the mattress, however, this didn't cause any issues. The cooling gel is not as cool as some others I have felt. This topper was a great value.

This came in a surprisingly small package. It's amazing how these things compress. I unwrapped it and let it sit on top of the bed for about 12 hours before I put the sheets over it. I still noticed a bit of a smell that night, so I took the sheets back off and let it off gas another day. That did the trick. I was surprised that it was about 3 inches too wide for my king size bed. It's not a big deal since my sheets are large enough to wrap over it. I didn't take any stars off since I can't be sure if it's too big for a standard king mattress or if my mattress is a little small. Either way, it's a little messy looking, but not bad. As expected, when I first unrolled it, it was super thin. But after the day of airing it out unwrapped, it expanded to a few inches. I like that it conforms to your body, but not too much. I don't like the spongy ones compress so much that you feel like you're sinking in. And I don't like the memory foam mattress I tried that seemed rock hard. This topper absorbs enough to remove pressure points without going too far. I was pleasantly surprised that it did not make me hot at night (especially since I'm pretty much always hot). I did not notice any heat collection at all. Overall I love it.

Warning! This "king size" topper is smaller than a true king size. Although the product details list the dimensions as 80x76 inches this topper is only 78x74. Your king mattress is 80x76 which makes this topper too short along the length and width to fit king size mattress properly. Sure you can probably live with it, but just know that when covered your mattress wont be nice and square along the top edge.Also, at 3 lbs per square ft, your getting cheated out of a pound of foam and the seller is profiting off false advertising.Follow-up: The seller refunded my money and I could keep the mattress. Still, I couldn't use it as intended and will have to shop around for another.

First, let me say there are so many on amazon and all have good and bad reviews that I was hesitant to even order one online. But I went ahead and ordered this on 9/28 and it was out for delivery to my house on 9/29! I just opened it 10 minutes ago and the first thing I noticed was that it was packaged well. After taking it out of its packaging I did notice a very faint smell (only because I intentionally sniffed it) but it smelled like the plastic it was in. After opening it up, literally within 30 seconds it had completely gotten to its 2 inches. I went to grab a tape measure and within the 10 minutes of me opening it, it had fluffed up passed it's 2 inches. It is VERY soft and true to its memory foam. I won't be sleeping on it because I want to give it at least a day to air out so I won't know if it will be cooler temperature wise to sleep on. So far no complaints! It seems to be pretty spot on with the description.UPDATE!!! So after sleeping on it for a week now, it is pretty much as described. It’s not too hot to sleep on. I did think it would be a lot softer based on how it felt before I put it on the bed, but none the less, it does make sleeping a lot better! I’m glad I purchased this item!

We recently purchased a medium firm Tempurpedic king mattress from a Costco road show to replace our older queen Tempurpedic mattress. The first night on it I realized how firm it was and had immediate back pain. I called and they said I could exchanged it for the softer model (additional $300 dollars). I decided to give it time to soften up. My husband loved it but my back injury didn't. A month passed and I was in a flare up of low back and sciatic pain. I didn't want to exchange the mattress because my husband was comfortable so I decided on this topper. We've had memory foam toppers in the past but they were sized smaller than the mattress to be topped. What a relief to find this one fit perfectly on our king mattress. I could not wait to get it on the bed and slept on it the first night. That night (last night) I did not take my anti-inflammatory medication and this morning I got up without the severe back pain. All day I have been moving around like a normal person without severe back pain. Yay! It is soft and cushions the body. Our mattress provides the firm support. The two together result in a wonderful fusion! My husband was also very happy. We are super pleased with this topper!

I actually had no idea anything like this existed. I have been having night sweats and saw this and thought I'd give it a try, as I'd seen the cooling gel pillows at Costco and they seemed like they'd work. When I opened the box and removed the bag I didn't think there was any way the mattress was going to roll out and fit my king size bed, but it did! It literally was the size of a rolled up l sleeping bag, heavier, but that gives you an idea how big it was. It's packed pretty tightly, so I had to peel it apart when I unfolded it, but it fit my king bed perfectly. It does not have a cover, so I placed it directly on my mattress and put my mattress cover over it. I haven't had any issues with it shifting. I feel it really does dissipate the heat, whenever I change positions the sheets are cool to the touch. Since it's a 2" topper, it's not too soft for us. I prefer an extra firm mattress, but my husband likes a softer mattress, so this has been a nice compromise, we are both sleeping better. I never noticed an odor when I unwrapped the mattress topper, and the topper was fully inflated the same evening I installed it on my bed.
