I bought this with the idea of making it into a hummingbird fountain with a water pump. I wanted something with substantial weight as I wasn't sure if I would put it on ground level or on the wall of my patio. I added some rocks to help the pump stay in place. Overall I am thrilled with the whole combination of things. The bowl is so beautiful which makes it even more pleasing to look at. I have just put it outside today so I cannot comment on the cleaning aspect of it yet. I love this and would highly recommend it to others.

I don't think it's worth the price tag

I was looking for an insert for a birdbath bowl that had developed a leak. This bowl was too fine for that. This product looks like deep mahogany marble. I placed it on a large outdoor planter/flowerpot of the same general color, as a base. Now I have a medium-height second birdbath! The birds love it. I will keep filling the old birdbath until I can fix the leak. A+++++

This birdbath I bought in late January birds were attracted to it and use it all day long . . . but have to continue to fill it because it has 3 VERY BIG cracks. So disappointed in the quality for the price. I hope to get a replacement, the last one I had lasted over 10 years!!! I do not recommend this product!

The birdbath is OK and we are not returning it. We have mounted it on the stump left when we had a tree removed. BUT the description of the item is somewhat misleading. Judging by the photo, wording in the item description, and the price ! , I assumed this birdbath was ceramic, clay or pottery with a beautiful glaze. It is not. It actually looks/feels like plastic. This is obvious close-up. It is not unattractive out in the yard when seen from our porch or driveway, and I'm sure the birds don't care, but it certainly was not what I expected. Probably would have returned it if returns were not so expensive. So we're using it anyway. I hope it holds up for a long time at that price.

This bird bath is beautiful and easy to clean. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it is so huge. I feel like I'm wasting so much water when I clean it everday and refresh the water.

We set the bath low to the ground and the birds love it. The rim offers a great perching spot with a raised design for gripping. The bowl is slippery and a little deep for some birds, so we added some flat rocks and they love that. The rocks do scratch the bowl surface a bit. I love how lightweight the bowl is so it makes cleaning easy. A solar fountain completed the set up.
